@@danb4459 Well, I've been watching it eagerly from the start. I forgor, almost, for some reason. Though still, making a FWD car to (rear) mid engine RWD one is still more interesting than "just" changing the power plant and making all new suspension parts and what not. I know G is super ambitious after spending so long without a shop, so I bet we'll see some carnage pretty soon.

Gingium, I am a junior year engineering student in washington state. I have watched your content since I was a machinist and hadn't yet started my journey into engineering. I am totally impressed by how much youve grown and learned over the years, the quality of your work has only grown and the work you've done to plan this build and "do it right" is spectacular. Great job man, seeing you do the math, (the same math I get stuck doing) is super inspiring, keep it up!!

This is gonna be epic man, i'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you got a 25 spline axle fwd dsm transmission, i would suggest you get your hands on a 1g dsm awd half shaft that bolts to the block, so you can run equal length axles, and for power steering if it were me i would de-power the rack, and merge a 1g column to a gen 2 toyots prius electric steering column that would eliminate the need for lines or the steering pump but you would need a higher amp alternator but easier to bolt on then lines.

I feel like you should raise the control arm mounting points. From what I understand of suspension geometry, having the control arm go upwards towards the wheel like that at ride height will do funky things when you start loading it up further with breaking and turning. You want it at least level at right height, if not, slighting decending so that you have some usable stroke before it starts going into the negative (upwards angle) where the funky stuff happens. Consult with Mateo for more accurate and useful information.

I'm not sure I'm right or not but im guessing you can use the stock front control area on the rear but the mounting points will be more forward of the centerline of the rear axle. I know one thing that this eclipse should be an incredible car with a proper rear drive rear suspension setup.. to bad you couldn't use a Subaru awd transmission with just the front axles and set the engine in facing the right way and get the weight balance closer to 50/50.

You probably know this already, but the end of a tape measurer isn't meant to be a fixed point, since they were largely designed for folks to measure and cut materials without having to think about cutting or relieving materials outside of "draw line; cut on line." If you can find one, an engineer's ruler in 1:1 scale will yield you much more precise measurements than your tape! Anyway, keep up the hard work!

Question on the loss of weight in the front from the engine, would you really have to alter the front suspension geometry if the gas tank will have to go there anyways? Gas weighs quite a bit so I wouldn't doubt that the weight of the gas tank full would affect things like the bump steer mentioned in the video.
