Ideas wise a full bill fold wallet. Make it solid and expensive. You can't get good ones. Also really solid 3mm inch and a half leather belts with a solid buckle. Chicago screws to attach to the buckle do different belts can be attached in store

Jayne, loving your enthusiasm and commitment to getting the card wallet right, anything new is a learning curve...I would however save yourself a lot of trouble saddle stitching by sourcing much thinner leather (a veg tan around 1.2mm) and finer thread, you needles will not break then. I reckon a machine would have trouble stitching through that thickness! Try and learn about paring the edges of leather also....it'll give you a cleaner thinner edge that is still strong and hard wearing plus it'll be a doddlle to finish the edges. Looking forward to seeing some excellent stuff from you....onwards and upwards! x

Hi, I must say I have really enjoyed your videos! I have been doing leatherwork as a hobby for many years and loved what you are doing. I would suggest using a maker's mark (stamp). People absolutely love it. If you can come up with a design, I might be able to make it for you (free of charge)

Hi, I use a material called soldcore it's a really hard material and machines great and has served me well although I don't know how many stamps you can get out of it, it won't be thousands but definitely more than one hundred. In my experience, the more simple the design, the better the stamps. I use a 2 t press, but you can get good results with a G-clamp.

Hi Jane. I wish you and Jonny all the best for your new business. A suggestion for leather goods that you could make if there is sufficient interest. Pouches for Victorinox Swill army tools. I know that you can already buy Victorinox branded ones but I expect you could make something nicer looking, perhaps with a bit of embellishment. Pouches for the little micro Victorinox tools would be great because if you keep one with your keys, they scratched and scuffed because of hitting and rubbing against the keys. Cheers.

Im so with you on all of this Jayne. The practice and the learning is a massive part of what we all do - I made so many mistakes when I first learned to sew and I look back and think I could have done better, but it was all new and now I see how much I’ve progressed. I love the fact that you used the leather with the scar, I totally would buy something like that complete with scar, because that’s real however sad. Good luck to you both on this amazing venture xx

@@hedgecomber I've been heavy into macrame all of my life and there is nothing more frustrating than knowing what you want and the piece not coming together the way you want. I'm working on an outdoor patio chair and I can't seem to get the knots where I want them on a round seat and I don't know why. Well, I do know why and I've taken the knots out at least three times but it still isn't the way I want it.
