Our 3 point hitch here in europe works pretty much the same. But it is built that the implement can be closer to the tractor, the 3 arms of the 3 point are loose. Compared to the american style hitch, your type of hitch is a kind of "quick connector"

I commented before on the boots. Bates boots are the most comfortable i have ever had. They are military tactical boots and have the side zippers so easy on and off. We do logging and they are a good year round boot. My dad has a prosthetic leg and he loves them for comfort and durability.

Brian, for work boots I have had many and will now only buy timberland pros. Most comfortable work boots I have ever worn. As someone who works construction in the great white North these are built to last. Warm in the winter but never hot in the summer and like you I tend to keep my boots fairly loose majority of the time.

Thank you for being honest about the brunt’s. I’ve had 2 pairs. First pair completely ripped in half after 3 weeks. Gave them the benefit of doubt and bought another pair about 6 months later. After 2 weeks they would not break in and loosen up so I sent them back. I’ll stay with my thorogoods. Throw some better insoles in them and they are the best boot I’ve had

Hats off to Eric at Brunt for the brand he created...Ive also been bombarded with Brunt ads all the YT guys wearing them, I was gonna try a pair. Unfortunately they are made in China and he just rebrands them. Im sure they don't need my order as he is sponsoring race teams now and seems to be doing well but I try to support American made as much as possible.

I had to wear 8 inch safety toe boots rated for electrical and puncture hazards for work. I wore Timberland Pro boots. They were very comfortable to wear on concrete floors even when spending much of the day standing up. They aren't cheap. It cost about about $200 for the last pair I bought and that same shoe now is $240 a pair. I wore a size 14 wide.

If you can get them in the US try Vtech V12 Rocky boots. Had mine a year now and yes they now look tatty and a couple of splits but they still don't leak. I wear them about 15 to 18 hours a day 7 days a week and they are usually covered in poultry muck that is liquid (due to it raining so much). Got to say best boots I have ever had!

In my profession we wear Nick's or Whites. They are hand stitched and nailed soles. With Vibram soles. Probably a little overkill for farming, but they are rebuildable. Probably get 2 or 3 years out of a pair.

We call it a quick hitch in the UK same as you call yours we have to adjust check arms to centre kit which we need as kit comes in different categories so the arms need to be different widths apart depending on size of implement. Hitching is a pain still but fairly fast as I swap from drill to pull sprayer daily.

Its walterscheid hooks with seperate balls to put (and leave) on different 3point implements. The linkarms here in Europe have stabilizers on them aswell, don't know if thats the case with that huge quickhitch you guys use? But machines don't swing left to right on the arms that much. Dont know why you use the big quickhitch, but over here more implents are carried in the 3point instead of towed,so we want the weight as close to the tractor as possible.

100% agree on the boots. Had brunt’s for 5 months and wasn’t a huge fan. For the first couple weeks the comp toe would pinch the top of my foot when I walked. Adjusted the insole and it got a little better. Overall they are an ok boot but not much better than ok. Not very waterproof at all. Back to my Ariat workhogs that i absolutely love.

Always very nice videos from you Brian. But when I look at the opening of the wide gates I always wonder why you have not taken a rolling gate? Much faster opening, compact space for the rolled gate and above all a much simpler mechanism. And if there is a lot of snow in front of the gate, the gate still opens because it does not swing outwards but simply moves vertically upwards.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for the rundown on the boots. Does seem they have a few not so good things about them. Those lace holders I don’t like. Tears up the lace itself. Ok boot otherwise. Boots are kind of what you like type issue. So many available on the market now days. Red Wing does a nice job. Sorry about your grain drill. Backing up while in the ground kind of messed you’s up. Oh well, parts coming so fix it up and be ready to go again. Will always remember not to back up I am guessing. Things happen. It is fixable. Press on. Glad you are ok with heights. I am not. But your man basket makes it a lot better working at heights. I agree with you Brian on the bin cone. Let a bin company that does that work do the fitting of a new cone. They have the equipment for it. I don’t quite understand where you are going with the new and old dryer setup’s. You lost me there. How about a rundown on the end process for the new and old dryer setup. Would be appreciated. Thanks Brian. Rain days are good days for shop work and repair work. Always a to do list on the farm. Wedding on a Friday - - that is different. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Brian. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
