Nah he just replied more on luck to win and marik deck at the time was a torture deck to weaken Joey by making him feel what his monsters feel, Joey felt being slashed in half, shocked 4 times, being on a torture wheel, and feeling a sacred fire from a god, and Joey actually almost won if marik confirmed it and if Joey did not pass out before he said attack marik he would win and take Ra, even kaiba said maybe your not the 3rd rate duelist I thought u were, and marik was in shock and puked in his hand that Joey almost beaten him right then and there

Joey had only one weakness in his duel against Marik: side characters, even the lancer, aren't allowed to take down the big bad. =/ It's a rule we should break more in storylines especially in Yugioh! This and Sylvio Swatari V Zarc are two moments that genuiely piss fans off when they see how much the characters put in the work but without a "Yu" in yer name you ain't got a play pally.

Since all three of them were involved in the duel with Paradox, why not do a series of duels to find out which of the three actually has the "best" deck, and is thus the "best" protagonist? Could even do the same with Kaiba, Chazz, & Jack to see which of the three is the best "rival". And then Joey, Syrus, & Crow to see who was the best "best friend". :)

He definitely couldn't. Jonouchi's development stopped once the Final 8 started. He got destroyed by Rishido. Rishido was going to win until Malik ordered him to stop and win with Ra because he wanted Rishido to summon Ra and make everyone think Rishido was really Malik. The Final 4 was going to be Yami Yugi, Kaiba, Malik, and Rishido. Yami Yugi and Kaiba have to duel each other. Malik is the final boss. It made no sense for Malik and Rishido to face each other in the Final 4. That is a STORY CONFLICT. Takahashi had to make Rishido lose. Rishido was FORCED to lose. Once the Final 8 started, none of Jonouchi's battles finish. He doesn't win another battle for the rest of the source material manga. He even loses to Yami Bakura in the final arc of the manga, but the battle didn't finish before the attack connect because darkness covered the entire memory world saving Jonouchi from death. If you read the source material manga, you would know Yami Malik had the entire battle under control to the end. He had a counter for everything. After Gilford is summoned, Yami Malik had 2 options to win: 1. Revive Ra and beat Jonouchi immediately. 2. Revive Lava Golem (the original Japanese effect allows it to be revived; only the opponent takes LP damage from it), destroy Gilford (Jonouchi LP: 1600 to 1400), and beat Jonouchi in the next turn or couple turns (depending on if Malik summons a 1400 atk or higher monster). Hellpoemer killed Jonouchi's hand. He only had 1 card in his hand (a high level monster) after Gilfords attack. We already knew his next card was Gearfried. Jonouchi loses due to the 2nd option without a Yami no Game in play. Outright defeat (Lava Golem 3000 atk beatstick).

I don't think Joey would be able to use Ra at all because he needs to know the ancient chant (which is the reason why Mai lost to Yami Marik). And knowing him, he most likely didn't know it. Before you say that Yami Bakura used Ra, Yami Bakura might have known the chant himself. And even if he doesn't, he had Marik to help him with that.

I’m gonna comment on how seareax did his Egyptian Slime. Yes it needs polymerization to combine slime and the god card. In addition Joey never use poly for his thousand dragon.
