Installed RED E stainless 2 seasons ago. It is working just like the day it was installed.So happy with the performance. Wish the stainless was available for the lower at the time. Had to rebuild the plastic JD OEM. Upgraded to Recon blockage this season. RED E sure has taken some stress out of seeding season for me. Thanks

While i agree all stainless is the best solution for corrosion, what do you guys do to prevent galling of the hardware?

Nickel based anti-seize is key. And protecting the threads so they don't get nicked.

What about sectional control units? Do they have those single shutoffs and shelves that create bridging ?
@RedEAg19 күн бұрын
Once they open up I don't think they will bridge. Good question!

How interesting! I found this to be very educational. The customer sure knows his equipment. I'm glad you could help him.

It looks like you're replacing a Boss SS meter housing. If so, was it an original Boss assembly? Or a Boss 2?

It looks like the older version.

What product was bridging with the other meter box? Just wondering as i have that box and this is the 3d season and no bridging at all in fertilizer. I like not having the half shut offs. Would be nice to have clean out doors though. Do you sell your boxes in Saskatchewan?

great question. this was in oats, which is a difficult product to feed anyway. We offer these in Canada - in fact the meter housings are made in Canada. We have a dealer near Regina so give us a shout for details and thanks for watching!

What's the cost for 1 meter with you guys doing the labor?
@RedEAg4 жыл бұрын
Hi @lobbyrobby, a top to bottom rebuild is the most common due to the fact if some parts are bad most likely all of them are bad or close to it. you should budget anywhere from $6.5k - $10k USD depending on what all you do and what configuration you have. Labor is quoted per your location so shoot us a request through the website or give a call to 701-205-1485 and we'll discuss. thanks! -Matt @ Red E
