I served my apprenticeship on Jaguars and remember there being an XJ13 engine on display in the showroom along with the Jaguar used in the Avengers, the engine just looked like a std XJ 12 engine with 2 XJ 6 heads on it, I'm 64 next so that shows you how long ago that was.

Most of the extra weight in this would just be from the massive V12 so I bet this has some real monster acceleration. Back in the day it would have made an insane race car. So many good concepts go by the wayside.

The original XJ13 is a unique vehicle now displayed in the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. The guys at Building the Legend are making very special replicas. These are SERIOUSLY expensive cars !

A DOHC V12 Engine, its a pity they're ditching these works of art for stupid battery systems that are unstable and unreliable Grrrr.! I remember many moons ago the fun I and a team of guys had building a kit car (Westfield 7) and that thing could move I can tell ya ;-) p.s. we even ended up in the newspapers because it was one of the first to be built and passed ALL the tests to become street legal..

Hi @DJAUDITS . Not only am I a huge Fan, but as an operational, full-time Firefighter, I occasionally go to some of the places you have visited. I recently went to an incident at Collins Aerospace, Wolverhampton. I was there for most of the morning, but before I left I asked a group of men who appeared to be management, if any of them had been on DJ Audits video. The one man rolled his eyes and said yes he had, and one of the others asked if I wanted his autograph? The man who said he was one of the men in your video asked if I had watched it and I said I had seen it when it first came out but I had rewatched it at the incident to get some info on the layout of the site by watching your drone footage. It helped me identify that the land next to the site was an empty field. He seemed a little taken back that I had used your drone footage to gain useful information. Keep up the good work.

DJ, if your camcorder has a screw thread near lens , it might be worth you fitting a UV filter / skylight filter, to the front of your camcorder Lens, You can even add a lens cap like a camera has. it will protect the original lens from knocks , water etc, and make it easier to dry. I used to own a Panasonic HD camcorder which had a 43mm thread . You just need to find out what size lens you would need, if you have the screw thread.. I have always used them on lenses for my DSLR camera’s , cheap but worth while.

The correct technical term is DOHC: double overhead camshaft. Which means the valves (or pairs of valves if its a 4 valve head) both inlet and exhaust are actuated by their own camshaft, rather than a SOHC single overhead cam, which uses a mechanically linked system (usually a rocker) to operate one via the other. 'Quadcam' is an ambiguous Americanism which can confuse the uneducated.

Slightly off topic, over here in Northern Ireland for getting an MOT, we have government approved Central, Centres to get them. Is it better? . Maybe, a bit better than your mate down at the local garage who maybe give a bit of leeway? Years ago when stationed in England and Wales, if the car was a tad iffy, bung him a few quid, and as long as if it wasn't a serious problem, they put an advisory thingy on the MOT.

Getting increasingly more difficult to say 'one of your best videos' DJ...no shortage of great ones! I have to say, not in the least a car enthusiast, don't even drive 🤣, but that car is achingly beautiful. I was staring at the video on pause for a good 5 minutes!!! Nearly bought me to tears how gorgeous it is. Not one bad encounter in a video with four different people, all making it such a great one...the star was obviously 'the machine' though!❤ Honestly, like I say not a driver or even an enthusiast, there must be something wrong with 'typical' car designers nowadays when a car designed around 60yrs ago can affect someone like me in that way. I mean, sure it costs a bomb, but _surely_ modern cars don't _have_ to look SO BORING/UGLY by comparison. 🤔

It's a lVA( individual vehicle authority) test centre, to pre approve a vehicle for submission for a mot and vehicle registration, say after importing something or something that was rebuilt after many years off the road and the registration number had been deleted due to assumption it had been scrapped and the original number sold.

If you retain enough of the major components of the donor vehicle then you can retain the donor car registration plate, which is what mine did, or DVLA can issue an age related plate for it. If the car is built from predominantly new components supplied by the kit car manufacturer, which is what happens most of the time now, then you get a plate for the year it is registered in. If you car is built from a mixture of donor parts, recondition and new and doesn't meet either of the above, then it will be issued with a Q-plate.
