Thanks for rescuing this horse. Even if he’s not a good riding horse he’ll be a good pasture buddy. But I think he was only protecting himself seeing how calmly he stands by you.

Time will tell...my QH mare was thin when I bought her too. Looked like a thoroughbred...now she's a real QH. The guy riding her, "cowboy outfit and all", didn't have a clue...believe me. Hands up high and then wondered why she circled to get control away from him? DUH. BTW, they were feeding her a FLAKE of local, crap hay and wondered why she was thin? Sigh. The first clue to me, as I finished saddling her...his comment to me was: "WOW, you really got her saddled FAST?" My return comment, "If you had saddled horses as much as I have, you'd be fast too."
