guys I have one big question that comes up every time you talk renos: time management. How did you work full time, do multiple side hustles, raise two kids, and do renos from scratch. Like, did you ever sleep!?!? Please please do a video on time management.

That's a great question! We actually took some time off from work when we did our very first renovation project in the Bay Area - just because it was going to be our primary home that we lived in. BUT, we also did slower renovations after that so as not to take time off from work! As for side hustles, we always focused on ones with flexible schedules where we had control over how much and when to do them. That definitely helps when raising kids! :)

Great job, Amon! I’m a real estate investor and have renovated about a dozen properties in the Philadelphia suburbs. You renovated this kitchen like I would have approached it. Painted cabinets and gave everything fresh paint, new floor, and a general face lift. There’s an American look to it that is very practical and appealing and I really like what you have done.

You guys did a great job on your house. Actually your first kitchen gave me an idea which I put to my kitchen renovation and turns out great. One thing you cannot change for an old house is the heating and insulation. I think between December to April ...staying indoor is not great and often quite cold. Also check the humidity level of your house indoor especially wardrobe if not you will see mold on your garments

On the tile, we have hesitated to do our backsplash because I see the electrical boxes have to be moved forward and that seems out of my skill set. Looks great, guys!

It is actually not hard at all. It is just the plug. We turn off the power, remove the plastic coverings, install the backsplash, and adjust the coverings to align it right back onto the new backsplash!

We went over the tile. The boards snap together, so the process was very easy! We just had to first put a barrier between the original tile floor and the new floor. And then we also added a small tile design around the perimeter of the cupboards!
