I'm excited you both got to ride it after the last Alton Towers video. I'm currently here in the UK on my honeymoon (from the US), and we're heading to Alton Towers TOMORROW! I cannot wait to ride this and The Smiler; some serious bucket list coasters getting crossed off tomorrow!

Thanks for the tips, it was a great day! Only oblivion was closed, and that was the one I was looking forward to riding the least (except the spin coaster, my legs never fit in those style cars, so that one didn't even get considered). Weather wasn't too cold, no rain, and hardly any lines! Got to ride Nemesis twice (both times on the recommended back left seat) and everything else once. Hard to pick if I liked Nemesis or Smiler more, but I did like the Nemesis merch more, so I got the hoodie with the Eye right in the center. Ended the day at the rollercoaster restaurant, which was the perfect cherry on top. Couldn't have asked for a better day, everyone there was incredibly kind and helpful. Super bummed I'll likely never get to come back, but it was certainly a day to remember!!!

Here in the UK, we know we don't have all the biggest best coasters like they do over in the States, but we have Nemesis and it's special to us. That's why Alton Towers and Merlin spent 10s of £millions renovating it.

Rode it today! Once in the front and once in the back right as per Taylor. They were both great so you both win! What a fun intense ride. Loved it and that park is stunningly gorgeous.

Finally so glad you got to take sarah on it. I took my eldest to the towers for her first time, shes 12 and a new enthusiat. I hadnt been in nearly a decade so wickerman was new for me. We were super lucky as by lunchtime Nemisis was on 10 min lines and rides closed at 7pm due to oktoberfest. We rode this twice and galactica 3 times. As it was her favourite of the two. I first rode this age 14 when it opened and prior to it had ridden all the old now defunct coasters from the park and a vekoma boomerang at american adventure (now no longer here), it blew my mind and ive had a special place for it since, only ridden one other b&m invert and that was Fire and Ice at universal. Ive wanted to tick off the rest ever since. The new station is amazing as is the area.

I'm so glad you finally got on the new version of the nemesis. I remember the original and I've rode it in on every seat. Your both right the views are amazing from the front. But the back left side is unreal especially at night because it whips everywhere. An honorable mention would be the 3rd row left and right as well for the forces and near misses

Definitely looks like one of the best terrain coasters out there. I haven't ridden, but I can't believe how much speed it gets so quickly - almost seems mystical in that sense haha

This is genuinely the first POV that I’ve seen that really shows the intensity of it. Went to Alton this July but when we got to nemesis reborn, I chickened out.. and then proceeded to go on the smiler. Should be getting a Merlin Gold Pass at the start of next season so I can come back and finally, actually do it..

The odd thing is that it's not consistent, I've only been on it one day since it opened, and I only experienced a shake on the final turn on one of the 12 rides I got, most enthusiasts who have ridden it say that the shake is only minor and has decreased slightly since opening.

You really can't get much better than RETRACKING a 90s B&M invert. The intensity of 90s B&Ms honestly make them better than modern ones. So a smooth invert with the 90s B&M engineering has gotta be a very unqiue experience. No offense, but i'd rather take a quick, snappy, and original restraints invert... over a long, drawn out, vest restraint invert * cough cough * banshee * cough cough *. Don't get me wrong Banshee is great but it doesn't feel like most other inverts cuz the vests and modern B&M design philosophy.

When the park opened in its current form in 1980, there weren't many tall coasters in the uk or even Europe, nor was it known how successful the park would be, so I guess it wasn't considered a big issue back then.
