4.28 Whiskey Jacks [ Canada Jays ] come and eat right out of your hand. In the early 1980's I had a job with a local tire company, I took skidder tires up to Mt. Washington when the resort was being built, logging road up, the lifts and lodge were under construction not like it is now!

Come to Radium from Calgary by car in May to Early June you are guaranteed to see not only black bears But Grizzly bears on the side of the road, mainly as you wind down the amazing pass into Radium. We have a vacation home in Fairmont. Every year on route from Calgary for several weeks in the spring The bears are out. Momma Grizzlies with their cubs, black bears... wolves, moose, and you may Even see a cougar. ( we have ) but they are very elusive...
