@@Motherhubbard170 as a local I can say with confidence that where this beach hut is located (it’s called Hengistbury Head for those who are curious) is incredibly out of the way and not at all practical to get to, even in the height of summer it’s the quietest strip of beach in the BCP area. Still doesn’t justify that price tag tho

Oh my goodness, I can't believe you were here, visiting where I grew up! We used to spend all our summer holidays at Mudeford and had a sailing dinghy. I was born in Southbourne and, Anna, we lived on the beach as teenagers, having beach parties and bar-b-ques - all very innocent in those days. It was so lovely to see you all come to Dorset (and Hampshire) to visit your lovely parents. Ziggy was having such a good time. Those gorgeous beach huts are owned by footballers and foreigners from London now, that's why they are stupid money. Don't throw your money down that money-pit, my dear friends, just visit and enjoy for free. Thanks for the memories.

My old beach house just sold for 1.1 on Oak Island, NC. It was a tight shot-gun floorplan with 4 very small bedrooms and 2 baths. I named her "Making Waves" and the owners kept her name! I do not miss owning a beach house at all btw. Was a nerve-wracking ownership with every storm that came in. I think 1 more insurance claim and I would have been Blacklisted! lol My attitude now is to never own one and to airbnb one!

Actually, there's a similar stretch of sand with beach houses that are with ridiculously expensive prices on FIRE ISLAND. It's an hour ferry ride from LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK STATE, going east into the Atlantic Sea.

After spending the day with two of my young grandsons and dinner with my three children, their spouses and my 4 grandsons, ages 9, 4, 2 and 8 months being a grandparent is the most wonderful time of life. It’s like the icing on the cake of life. Your girls are very lucky to have wonderful grandparents on both sides of the family. This was a wonderful video. Beautiful filming, music, people and smiles. I could just imagine the smell of the sea. So wonderful and nice seeing the joy on your face Anna. The half a million cabin isn’t even oceanfront, it’s back a few rows. Visiting Anna’s parents gives us a switcharoo for it is mostly them helping out at the chateau and bonding with the girls..time out for all the family..the beach huts stretch for a long way ..what a location but that price range is high end for sure…it only takes short breaks to revive and to remind you that the sea divides you but the crossing makes it so accessible to visit..happy days.. ⛵️❤️⛵️

Highcliffe castle and Mudeford hold such great memories for me too. It was my favourite beach, just hated the climb back. I lived there until I moved to Cyprus 8 years ago. A real trip down memory lane.. Amazing place to live.
