I've been wearing my B42 official cosmonauts chronograph as a daily driver almost non stop for 8 years never failed me yet. We were a AD for them in st Croix usvi every one I sold the customer thanked me for the recommendation and were extremely pleased with the purchase even years later. They really are well made and low production numbers mean other than the ones I sold I've never run into one in the wild . The only other brand I sold that had the same reaction is Oris I had customers approach other customers trying on an Oris and they practically sold the watch to them for me same with Fortis. Now that I live near Canaveral it might be time for me to get out of retirement and open up again with some cool obscure makes

Fortis has excellent credentials and why we have not heard from them is due to what is known as the "Apollo 11" effect. Most people can remember Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong as the first men to walk on the moon, but we can't name anyone from the Apollo 12 mission or what they did.
@WillKMB Жыл бұрын
The Apollo 12 crew: Pete Conrad, Alan bean and Richard Gordon. They were tasked with landing near the surveyor 3 probe sent to the surface 2 years prior, and brought back pieces of it to test the fevers of being on the moon for prolonged periods. Don’t say we can’t remember when that’s not true. You and others may not but still some of us know what happened

I believe the 7750 & the sellita equivalent are cam driven chronographs but this has a column wheel, so it's either a different movement or it's seriously modified. I could be wrong about the sellita though, just not sure, but if it's a clone of the valjoux 7750, then it's cam driven.

Two laps of 30 seconds only gives you 60 seconds, not 90. Ninety seconds would require three 30-second laps. At least it would in a regular garlic watch.
@TrickMontalban2 жыл бұрын
The second hand goes through the 0-30sec track (marked in light blue on the right side of the dial), then through 30-60sec (back to starting position) and then 60-90sec through the light blue track. So it only goes through the light blue track twice

Hey, can you review a Prim? They're two Czech watch brands (result of a botched 1990's privatisation), one makes high-end watches with Swiss or in-house movements, the other is in the more affordable category. They have a history almost as old as post-war Czechoslovakia and they're rather interesting and unique - and nobody seems to know about them. Perhaps a "Manufacture 1949" Elton product would strike your fancy.

It's the reverse problem of being underwater. I can never figure why Rolex call their watch "Submariner". If I were a submariner and needed a waterproof watch, I'd be more concerned about the submarine I was in than the watch I was wearing.......!

Submarine :something that functions or operates underwater
