Your parachute cable should pull all the way into the sheath when fully pulled. It just needs a little trim. Also a silicone vacuum plug on the end of the cable will help it not snag the bag with the cut end. The inside cable will stab its own hole through the silicone pretty easily. Just a couple ways to keep that from happening. Great job boys.

We had multiple OIL PRESSURE SENSORS go bad on stand alone ECU bikes before we figured out to "isolate the sensor from direct engine vibration" (and heat). We always use an AN line from the engine to the sensor now and I have never seen one go bad since we started doing that (years ago)...

I reckon it's time they started experimenting with an auto trans, a properly setup up auto would drop em into the 760s easily just by doing that. But I know that's a difficult task considering no one builds tough Honda autos atm but I know these boys could pull it off, if they partnered with someone like Hughes transmissions they could corner the market on drag spec Honda autos 👌

Just because someone changes the engine and take away some pieces inside doesn't change the fact that if it's a MR2 or not. It'd be different if they cut the entire frame and body all to hell and changed the entire look of the car. But it still looks like a factory MR2 with added aftermarket parts to me. So to answer your question. YES it's still a MR2 buddy. 👍

Desert racing trucks use some type of fastener locking mechanism on almost everything they assemble on the car. I'm not saying you guys see that crazy of vibration, but that engine seems like it has some serious harmonics transferring around if simple things like coil bolts are coming loose. Star washers, lock washers, blue loctite, torqueing everything, that type of thing might be your friend as you continue to push that mr2 to the limits! Congrats on the pass BOIZ!

I know that turbo will make 68-70lbs and they only used 55psi so far there is almost another tenth I bet just in the short track at 55psi still and then he's got 150-200 more hp to add if needed

Oh I reckon they could potentially go 750s on the cast block ,personally I'd push it til she blows then go billet just to see how far it could be pushed 👍 Here in oz the rb guys were on the verge of cracking 6s on cast rb blocks ,I think the record was like 7.035 or something before they conceded defeat and went billet, some of our fastest gtrs still run a cast head at 6.54s and near on 2500hp 👌

You need to clamp the outer sleeve of the parachute cable. There was enough tension on the steel cable from the chute that the outer sleeve pulled itself towards the end instead of releasing. Put a cable mount about 18” away from the end, that way the cable is secure and can still move out of the way. Stay safe guys and congratulations on another record!

you might want to get an oil pressure sensor that can handle a higher pressure range. with over 97 psi on a cold start you can easily max out its 100psi rating and damage the sensor.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing lol But what box do you use is the question and who's gonna step up n build em one then support them through the development of it cause it will break a lot before they get it right being no one builds tough Honda autos atm. Something like a 4 speed converted to a 2 or 3 speed (I'm pretty sure there is a Honda 3 speed from like the late 80s early 90s) Add like a 5500 converter, trans brake, bump box etc and it'd go 760s as it sits 🤔 The manual is holding it back big time.
