Sonic ur generations and shadow generations are very similar but just because of the doom powers which add more replay ability probably makes shadow generations barely better then sonic generations although I enjoyed both these games

I played sonic generations for the first time alongside shadow generations and i loved every moment of shadow generations. i hated everything from silver boss fight onwards in sonic generations i just didn't care for the level design.

Shadow gens is better in terms of story, level design, and gameplay mechanics. The only thing it lacks is a longer playtime

First of all: gameplay goes to shadow gens imo, like what you wanna like but thats my personal opinion. Characters shouldn’t be blank. It’s shadow gens [no argument for that (Maria Gerald and back doom are great characters)] shadow gens has more personality, the doom powers, the bosses (especially Mephiles), and the white space all make it have more personality imo. Sonic gens doesn’t have any personality tbh, the only unique area is the cutscene only area before the final boss. White space in Sonic gens is just white with the stages in it, just a glorified level select. The story in Sonic gens has nothing going for it, making it have even less personality. Unlike Sonic gens, shadow gens has a good white space, a new area with the distorted radical highway (it looks really different compared to the og except for act 1) giving it more personality. Shadow gens is a 10/10 in my book. My only complaint is that it’s too short, but it isn’t even that short tbh, it’s 3 hours and 45 minutes on average for me (I did two more play throughs) and me saying it’s too short is just a testament to how good it is. It’s perfect, but I want more perfect. (Also saying this stuff with no explanation was guarantied backlash please explain) (also this got super long dang)
