I wish there was more to share. I was a kid around the same age as them, saw them around town but didn’t interact much. We both had so much land, we were technically neighbors but we couldn’t see each others houses!

I am currently knitting the Fable dress for my cousin who is having a girl in march. Its a fairly easy quick baby knit. I want to make more cardigans, I have yarn for the Le Pouf, the Amapola cardigan, and I got a bag of the spincycle seconds and its all dyed in the wool so I think the pressed flowers cardigan is in my plans as well

I am going to do a musselborough with you but as I am in Australia I will not be able to zoom. I want to do it for a book that isn’t out until 30th January. It is the 3rd in the Crescent City Sarah J Maas series. I am listening to the first 2 to get ready for its release. I will choose yarn to represent the series

So for the Musselburgh you just use knit front back and don’t use make one right or make one left? I’ve tried so many times to make a Musselburgh and I always mess up because of the make ones!

I’ve cast on the Muss using kfb in place of the m1l/m1r and it is soooo much easier on my hands. Brilliant idea, Maddie!!!! If I HAVE to use the m1 in a pattern I will but it is not necessary in the Muss to get the job done. YAY!!!! Thank you for sharing such a great tip 😊!

Watching this a bit late, but super fun episode, so good to see you all. Christen, I relate to you about how little knitting is possible with a baby haha - my son's worth it, but it is a little hard adjusting my knitting expectations when I usually prefer to make sweaters which take a while even when not caring for a baby! I also loved Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarrows (minus a few cringe scenes haha) but I've been finding the second book to be an absolute slog/boring af haha. Not sure if I'll finish it, curious what you two will think of it. Love that you're restarting the book club, what a great/creative way to do it! One question - I noticed JJ's cute little face wasn't covered in this episode; not a critique if that wasn't an accident just making a note bc I know you usually do that so wanted to make sure the video didn't lose your edits on you or something!

I agree the second book is less fun than the first... all the action happens at the very end and the build up to pay off ratio was not great. Still a really interesting story for sure if you can get through it. And yes I do like to leave JJ off the internet but it was too much editing to try to keep her out this time. She is getting too mobile and demanding LOL

I use only the Never Better Socks pattern by @madebymaddie now as I love the fit and perfect structure of the heel flap and gusset. I need to get with CJ about starting the Loopy Mango sweater “remake” in the round. Love all the applause you received from JJ today.
