I am SO glad Mr. Sweet Face is alright and that you had the peace of the casino parking bbn lot while you explored and searched for the perfect spot for your busiversary. Talk about some silver linings! I'm also sorry you had such a rough experience in the Bog of Despair (although everyvtime you showed those clips, I had a little chuckle). I am grateful that you don't glamorize things, but just show up how things truly are. I know it's SUCH a help to fellow and future rv/bus/tiny house dwellers. Glad to be back in the U.S. a d happy to see the good end to this bideo. Stay well and take care of each other.

I grew up north of Coos Bay/North Bend, in Reedsport. You went through it on your way to Florence. There is a nice RV place in Winchester Bay (2 miles south of Reedsport) if you come back. You can also check out the Sand Dunes, Umpqua River Lighthouse, take a short hike around Lake Marie, and go crabbing or fishing. Overcast skies are a trademark of our area!

That first camp ground wasn't very good at all. but I really enjoyed your searching from the casino parking. some of those places were not suitable for you but the scenery was magical, I hope you have a wonderful week

I am a local. The north spit is where we go to ride ATVs in the dunes. The wooded areas are marshes. If you would have spent more time outside you would have also encountered the massive amount of ticks 😬

One of the weekly pic dump web sites I visit had a picture of Thor's Well. I thought it would be cool to visit it, now I don't have to. :-) One of the things I miss about camping with the family as a kid was spontaneity. We could just wander around from one State Park to another without everything being reserved. . . congrats on one year on the road.

Me and my wife stayed there last year left early not just any mosquitoes they'll take a pint of your blood😂. The mosquitoes were even eating up our dog. You could not go outside day or night it was a shame the weather was nice😂. Live in learn all part of the adventure

We have a old saying that you can tell who's not from Oregon if they are using a umbrella . Allot of people go to the coast just to watch storms come in .

I have been up and down the coast a few times and during the summer forget it if you get something you'll be paying top dollar and especially with your bus not many places to fit it hate to say it we have a 30 foot class a and we had a hard time finding stuff summer is not the time part of the adventure

If you stayed there there are 2 great places for breakfast called Mom’s kitchen and The pancake Mill the food and service at those places are great the food at those places is very good

If you didn’t have pets animals I can recommend a place called Dune Haven on Saunders Lake on crannog rd not very far from NorthBend Oregon it’s very quiet very peaceful and you have a great view of the lake there from the deck at Dune Haven vacation rental Aframe deck it’s very expensive but very worth it it’s a very clean quiet place to stay if you don’t want to go to a campground

We have spent the last 2 weeks exploring the Oregon coast. When you recounted the issues finding camp sites I reached over and gave my wife a high 5. She manages all that stuff so well and all I have to do is go when she says so. We did Florence Thousand Trails and Pacific City TT. Both Campgrounds where wonderful. Tomorrow we leave the beautiful coast of Oregon and go see what Washington has to show.

Great areas to visit on the Oregon coast... but if you're looking for something peaceful, clean and quiet, venture inland a bit and check out the Seven Feathers RV Resort. Full amenities. Quiet. Great staff. Large pull through sites.

Loved Thors well. Camping is not always perfect. Neither is stix and bricks. We had a few days of hundreds of dragonflies! They eat mosquitoes 😊. Enjoy your Channel. Stay a week or two at free camping make yourself feel at home.

Hi Mela and Don. I don't blame you for leaving the first camp ground with all those mosquitoes after one night I would of left myself you were brave to stick it out as long as you did. I loved seeing the mystery tour of the other camp grounds you checked out and also the sight seeing trails and sea lmramic coastline. The seal and birds were amazing. Glad Mr Sweet face is all better now.

There is a very nice quiet place to stay in seaside Oregon but you have to be a WorldMark Wyndham member but the place there is very worth it get a membership for WorldMark Wyndham you will like it

When I saw the hand held mosquito repellent you used on your walk with your kitty, the first thought I had was "that's awfully close to her kitty, I wonder if he'll be ok?" My husband got me one, and it comes with all sorts of warnings about contact and possible contamination. If you've already figured out what the real problem was for your kitty - never mind. It just seemed sus when only the kitty you took for a walk (at that horrible place), came down with a problem and then just as mysteriously was fine the next day. I'm a kitty Mom of 4, so I felt your pain and concern.
