Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

This video brings back bad memories of one winter camping in the snow while it was raining (Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts, I forget which) I decided it was too cold to dress in dry clothes and I climbed into my knapsack soaking wet. It was the longest night of my life waking up every forty-five minutes until dawn and we could go the heck home.

Now, this would be the ultimate Netflix and chill date. Life is made up of a series of memories, both good and bad, and they are what define us. And, the memory of this overnight camping trip to Antarctica will be a special memory you can share with your kids and grandkids someday. I admire you guys and your adventurous spirit. It's always special to share a fond memory with someone you love and care for. You two show genuine love and affection for each other and it's a wonderful thing to see. Just imagine, Kara, it's 50 years in the future and you're lying in bed next to Nate discussing your guys attempt to summit Everest the next morning when you both go into a laughing jag over the time 50 years prior when Kara was unable to use the toilet because she couldn't get its lid open. My best to both of you wonderful people. Stay safe and stay healthy, folks. Yer the best.

No kidding! I've been to the brazilian amazon, and it was crazy seeing the nightsky where there is literally close to 0 light pollution, and going to bed at night seeing the Southern Cross! I'd never been to the southern hemisphere before, looking up and seeing a different sky, and the constellations that you know "backwards" in the sky was quite the treat! (Wasnt too far south, so I could still see the big dipper, but from a totally different perspective.)

So I just started watching your videos a couple of days ago, and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your constant toilet reviews. I've travelled a lot and I actually consider this a really big deal. There is nothing better during a stressful, sweaty, freezing, or blazing hot day of travel than finding some immaculately clean and cozy bathroom arrangement somewhere. This is probably why I go to Japan a lot. Because I rate countries and travel experiences based almost exclusively on how well thought out the toilet arrangement is.

I have to thank you for taking me places I'm unable to go to myself. You truly help me get through each day. The Antarctic has always been one of my top plces I would have loved to have gone. I have been ill for sometime. I have MS, my kidneys like to fail, and congestive heart failure,... You two are wonderful to watch. You are great at taking me along with you and you are both excellent at relaying the information that help others to know the what, when, or where of the trips you have taken. This probably sounds corny, but you brighten my days, make me laugh when I really need it, and well, you help me more than I can say when I'm having a rough day. When this pandemic is under control I pray that you will be back on the road, water, or sky again. If you, some day, have a family, I would love see what kind of things you can plan and do. You two would be awesome to travel with.

♧ Degenerate Beauty Queen ♤ - I think he meant whilst sleeping. In which case, you very well can sweat and overheat if you’re too layered up, even in Antarctica. That’s why they stripped down before going to sleep.

J H Yes I understood what he meant, I just thought I’d make a little sarcastic remark. I meant no harm, as I’m sure Kara and Nate know what they’re doing by now. At least I’d hope so haha.

Katie M I haven’t seen a “What’s in my suitcase” video, but since they’re limited in terms of packing, I’d hope they’d have a bunch of merino wool clothing! The plus to it is that it doesn’t stink up after continuous wear, unlike many other types of fabric.

You're all missing the point i think haha, OP wasn't "remarking" on the sweating part, but the fact he said the arctic (north pole) when they're in antartica (south pole).
