It was a hard decision but in the end we decided keeping the 1150 was not in our cards. The amount of money and time it would have taken to keep this tractor running is just not worth it. Harvest on the other hand is going great! Burning through acres one day at a time!

Better to have someone take the 1150 and get it running or use it to fix another machine than leave it sitting and decaying in your field. And your cinematography is still awe inspiring, just stunning camera and drone shots.

Just think Nick, with all the A380's being parked of dismantled, there's no need to purchase any more grain bins. Clear out a nice long spot and let the airlines fly the 380's in to use for grain storage. It's a win-win for all involved.

@AgriCultur3 A380 will fly with 600 tons gross. I don't know how many bushel that would hold on the ground.
@craigsmith8217
@craigsmith8217 4 жыл бұрын
@AgriCultur3 If the landing gear will hold that kind of weight, I suspect the plane would hold it. It does hold a lot of internal pressure when at altitude. At 30,000 ft the internal pressure is about 10 psi, or 1440 pounds per square foot. I think it will hold it.

Wow, running electrical power is a huge project out your way. Guess we take it for granted in the suburbs.
@tylerdustin2008
@tylerdustin2008 4 жыл бұрын
Uh no. What they did was very very easy. In the suburbs you cant use a trencher, you've got primary voltage, secondary voltage, phone, cable, water, sewer, gas....etc. All of those have to be located and a spot hole dug by hand to verify depth and location, and the utility locators don't care if they are dead on. They normally have a 2ft margin of error on either side of their paint mark. Once all that is done we have to use a horizontal directional drill to drill to where the transformer/dip pole is located then attach the primary cable, and pull it through the bore hole that was just drilled. Which is the one they pulled of with the truck which looked like a 15kv line or 15,000v +/-. Then you do your terminating. I would very very much rather do what I do out in an open field. And if its a rocky location it takes a rock drill and that distance in hard rock could take 3-6 months.

Some rent is performance based If your land is better and produces better grain the tenant has to pay more rent Also share cropping is where you dontvreally rent the land but sorta give it to the welkers They put up all the costs to plant/harvest the crop then you slit the profit at the end Lots of livestock farmers round here share crop They can break their feild from pasture for a year and get an income from cropping but don't have to invest in any cropping equipment

Assuming that all 5,200,000 lbs of wheat were turned into white flour for consumer sale, you've helped to produce somewhere in the neighborhood of $3,650,000 worth of flour. Off of 1 farm on the northern end of America's Bread Basket. In case anyone thinks farming isn't the backbone of the American economy, that should give an idea of just how important farmers are to our country's success.
