Haha I think so! I can understand though, the poly plate was still attached to the trailer and wasn't shown in the video. We used to use grease but the dirt and gravel pack into the cracks are act like sandpaper. Poly stays much cleaner as you can see from the video.

I have an MRI of my L1-L5 with rods in between them. Sixteen years ago yesterday, my friend accidentally shot me with a 12ga slug when a deer ran in between us and I stepped out on the trail when the deer turned broadside between us. 100% an accident cause I stepped out and I hold no ill feelings. Thankful every day for the blessings I have as my wife was pregnant at the time and my son will be 16 in May! Looks like you’re healing fast and I know you will be back to full strength by summer! Rauleigh (or Rolly) (apologize for the spelling) is very cute and another blessing to the Welker family.

I have broken several - every time the doctor said the cast would be on for four weeks. Every time it was replaced. Eight weeks seems to be the norm - yes faster healing can happen with metal plates and screws, but count on eight weeks. Take it easy! Baby brother can clean the shop!!

My wife worked at an orthopedic hospital for years and I never knew how they sawed a cast off before. The metal in your arm will set off metal detectors from now on. But it looks like the surgeon did a good job putting it back together. The main thing is, you still have the arm. God has blessed you with a family and health. By the way, I am 75 years old and I have a few dings and dents as well. God has blessed me as well and my dings and dents remind of my youthful exuberance every time it gets cold and it rains. God Bless you again.

Our ability to heal given half the chance is absolutely amazing. I expect you will make a full recovery if you keep keep being patient and listen to your health professionals. Still a wee way to go. My son broke both bones in his arm in much the same place as yours as a nine year old. Really ugly xrays too! Six surgeries later for pins and plates, resets etc and it has given him no bother since. He is coming up 22 now. Now if machinery could just repair itself!

Just a Canadian’s do I guess. I’m glad to see you getting back to Heath Scott.

Leg Arm... you have to be a good little boy and teach your new son how to behave around Mommy. lol The doctor was right about you needing your cast a little bit longer, but it's warranted. You are a tough farmer that handles heavy things, and drives even bigger machines on a daily basis. Just thank God that it's now the end of the year, when everything has been harvested and you have most of the winter to heal. Your doc is a smart man. Your bones aren't quite healed yet, even though there's plates and screws holding everything together. Just keep on being you, love your family, and torment your brother. That should be enough to do for most of the winter.

Wearing a cast sucks, but a badly healed break is even worse! A lot of times when someone has metal plates put in the bone will break just above or below the plate if they do too much or reinjure the arm. Also loved the Millennial Farmer shirt, it's a great shoutout to another great guy and channel!

Good thing you got a new cast, let it heal once. Even micro movements can stop bone from fusing back together. That metal in your arm looks great because it means it will hold it together. I had three spinal fusions before they put rods and screws in, and it fused finally. Be patient a little while longer Scott.

Enjoying watching the families grow along with the wheat and the peas. Leg Arms/Scott, you'll be MONTHS before you can use that arm with any real weight. Do NOT rush it, or it will bother you for a very very long time. Many will agree and it's coming from OUR mistakes... Take it easy... You may have yet another cast coming just to make sure you don't twist those connections in the bone before they are ready. Get a red one... No need to make Zack happy with a green one.

Just to clarify, both are drive axles. The truck will send the power to the wheel with the least traction until you engage the power divider then it will send the power to the wheel with the least traction on each axle and if it has diff locks (which for some reason I doubt you do on a tractor of this vintage) you can send power to all 4 wheels (or three if you only have three way locks). But yeah I have done this, dropped a driveshaft or axle shaft, removed the broken parts on the side of the road engaged the power divider and kept going (tho you should go a little slower, you are concentrating your torque into fewer components)

U-joints, when they start to fail, they get worse quick. And when they catastrophicly fail, it makes a huge mess. If you're lucky, the slip shaft comes apart and flings the rear section out before tearing anything else up.

Scott, count your blessings that there is an arm that itches. A lesser man, may have lost his arm. Besides, this means Nick has to do some work. As Mike Patey would say, "lets get back to work!"

So an idea for future road side related problems make a adaptive air hose to fit on the truck trailer air supply and have an instant way for air tools just an idea and 2 that’s a nice place to stop at dislike it when they open the scale there, and decently quiet for sleeping( I have spent a few nights there ). Great vid keep it up
