Healthcare must leave the hospital and become a 24/7 lifestyle-integrated industry if it is to become as effective and as cost effective as we all hope it can become. To do that, monitoring ourselves continuously is the central problem to be solved. Today body monitors fall into two somewhat unsuccessful camps - implanted monitors and external wearable monitors. What if you could build body monitoring and display elements directly into the contact lens?

LOL, I posited your idea to Mary Lou and Kevin last night having not seen your presentation yet. I think I'm going to watch the entire series of these presentations so as to not regurgitate concepts. This being said it is a very good idea, and I thank you for pursuing this worthy goal.

Nice presentation, its definitely the future : 1) the progress in semi conductors made this possible 2) the eyes are the mirrors of body and can tell you exactly what is wrong with your health i just wonder , since it is wireless (RF) for communication with the mother device how noise sensitive is it and is it secure... i can imagine that one would like to keep his/her medical health information private

Oh wow. That would be wonderful as I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 40 years and am now starting to suffer with neuropathy. My fingers are very sore from the blood tests I do at least 8 times or more per day. I would love this device.

This idea has little sence... - eyes are too gently ( extra heat, decreased ventilation ) - lens are too gently ( to this there has existed lens with max using time no longer than 3 months. OK let's say, better fabrics... but it be hard to achieve really longer period ) - long power supply (?) It is possible to create in this topic powerful stuffs but probably they will be uncomfortable, with short life time and of course expensive. It's even really hard to create these days good lens...

You better call Google and let them know, they'll be pleased that you told them before they wasted too much time and money on this. Your clearly an expert with superior knowledge to the 'experts' currently building these things.

LeeO My technical education has nothing to do with it (i've finished automatic and robotic). Simply i've been using lens since '07 and as for me this idea is madness.
