@@gio1135 That is almost impossible, imagine having to rewrite the code of 260 something mods all individual scripts so say a paragraph of code every mod, so that is like 39,000 strings of code or words of code just to have it not even work. If someone did do this it would take like 100 people and like 3 years or more if it is even possible.

​@One leaf away from Autumn While its incredibly small by comparison to anything, the current modpack scene is dominated by just a few groups/mods. Technic, Curseforge, and FTB are your only real sites to get modpacks. Kinetic, Bighat, FTB, Technic Official, and a handful of modpack creators are the only ones making quality modpacks. There is money in it, through player purchases and donations to these officially hosted servers (since now most modpacks host their own server as well). Even singleplayer packs make money through patreon donations to these individual creators, or the deal they have with Minecraft server hosts that advertise themselves in the modpacks description. But yeah the word industry is a bit to big for the small scene it is.

Man, they make a modPACK, not the MODs. Make 200 mods work together flawlessly is a good and hard work, but remember what behind that here at least 200 mod authors, lol. So about mods, you can create custom models with CPM mod. Some bosses like Ice Golem and Knights is from amazing Mowzie's Mobs mod. Better fight mod also in charge. Custom armour models is just a resourcepack, but you need some knowlege with blockbench. etc etc with every mechanic in this trailer. So if you want to do your own modpack, you'll need some experience and knowlege with the mod setups, tweaking a config files, reading bug trackers at mod's page and a ton of time to test all of it. It's the thing what this team just do

​​@@DavidM-jk1tz Did you read OPs comment? They specifically asked if there will be individual classes, (maybe like how souls does it with independent stats?) so players can create unique builds. Weapons and Armor only go so far and don't provide a permanent boost to the character, meaning without stats every player may as well be the same because according to progression they are.

i have some ideas if yall didnt put them already in this mod pack : 1.Adding more plants and fishes and more stuff that can be used to make new potions with new effects and other items like custom ammo such as arrows ex.. 2.weapons that can be made with a combination with other different weapons 3.different villagers with different items to sell like explosions and plants and medical stuff but not making the game progress too easy .items will just help to gather and find and not to give straight 4.try to make bosses and fights miscellaneous and not all medieval-souls related . like some robots and giant worms.witches and some player-like bosses (having normal player body) with a different back stories hope you read this and good luck.

This Modpack is superb; yes, BUT here we talk about single player. The SP runs with only max. 4 Gigs of Ram, and it does not bottleneck either. So far, so good. Let's talk about the serverpack. The devs just copied and pasted the entire modpack and tried to get it to work somehow on the server, there are 15+ client-sided mods which usually don't get loaded by the server. There are around 10 continuously running errors- 3 critical errors which can lead to server crash when the server performance is too low, 1-2 errors which can lead to corrupted chunk files. The serverpack also includes 2-3 corrupted mods which have to get fixed by the representative mod owners. There are more errors to solve, but they are minimal. The Chunk *loading* (I am not talking about the Chunk generation) is very slow. I tried it on my server as well as on my pc. I have an i7 12700kf and the server is optimized to load 6 chunks. You run faster than the chunk can load, it starts to load even more chunks at the same time and gets into a bottleneck. The Pack needs around 6-7 Gigs, after my optimization I achieved it to 3-4 Gigs. You can't really optimize the pack further due to its requirement for the datapack. That is all the technical details, let's talk about the discord and dev of the dawncraft modpack. Long story, but short there are: "Chat Mods", "Mod dev" and "Devs" itself. None of these will either help nor react when u ping them for critical issues. Credits to "Rafa_" to at least read my message about his mod, due to some coding issues he made to solve its mod loading. At the end, you have to hope that someone will help you out beside the staff team. I will delete this comment, when the conditions get better, but as for now it is horrible and unacceptable a KZbinr made a modpack.

After 9 days of troubleshooting the modpack, I managed the get a samewhat stable version of the modpack, but still kinda run in some chunk generation issues, cause they are corrupted by outdated or broken mods. Fun fact, these mods are required by the datapack.. The comment section seems to already figure it out but its an easy fix. The Symbol at the end of Dawncraft is the culprit! To fix you simply have to remove it from the modpack title and modpack directory. Hope this helps

Just finished it so far and I gotta say it was very disappointing. The performance and balance is absolutely horrendous etc. There is also many signs that make me highly doubt this was worked on for a year, like the lack of integration *custom recipes and loot tables at the bare minimum) are only used in a very few instances for progression purposes, if your gonna say it was really worked on for a year you would at least expect hundreds of loot table tweaks and custom recipes at the very least, making loot feel often utterly worthless and the work on epic fight integration to make the modpack feel cohesive in anyway shape or form feels wasted. The progression is also very grindy and confusing as well. The unlocking of core mechanics such as dodge rolls and enchanting via quests. All this does is needlessly slow down progression and its a very clear sign of lack of actual content. Also the quests are often a very mixed bag, sure they're neat and sound cool on paper, but having a GUI or something to actually keep track of them and know what to do next would very much help with most issues regarding the quests. And speaking of quests, In-game guidance is incredibly minimal if not non-existent save for an npc giving you an introduction, it also doesn't help that the wiki is more empty than a desert as of now so this ended up with me having to resort to looking up various mods in order to find out how to progress with all of them which imho breaks immersion and is tedious/annoying. I would say the worst aspect of all of this is having the most basic (and important) mechanics from vanilla being locked behind arbitrary and tedious progression. While I have MANY issues with RLcraft at the very least there was a method to its madness and its progression felt far more rewarding and engaging as you'd have to level up basic skills in order to actually start being able to do stuff like enchanting, but here, you have to do slow and boring or confusing quests to unlock such features. The balance and difficulty as mentioned feel like its all overt the place and makes me think this pack wasn't properly playtested (if at all). Early game is a mess of high level mobs appearing seemingly out of nowhere that take forever to kill (I've noticed this especially with the bloodborne inspired mobs). Midgame and lategame are no better with stealth being my only real option MANY times, which is obviously not fun. Affinities are also a mess too, and for some insane reason can be applied on bosses too which make them even more of a nightmare/chore to deal with, some affinities can just outright render your chances to be able to fight back, retreat or win to nigh unwinnable as you watch a zombie that stuns and holds you in place as it takes several chunks of your health bar away in seconds (even good equipment), meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum, late game bosses were too easy, which killed the hype of fighting them as time went on. I think the issue here is that the pack is trying to go through this weird and strange middle ground of survival and souls-like, and its not working. You either go full souls-like will keep inventory and harder bosses, or tone down the difficulty and keep item dropping, pick one and stick with it, or come up with something new all together. The pack is by no means "bad" or "awful" and I'm likely making it sound worse than it actually is, but if your going to claim that this pack was made for a year with a monthly income roughly around £2300 on patron (which is a wage that mod devs/teams would kill for). So to see such sparce "custom" content and such poor integration and balancing (I'm likely being very cynical here but I would go so far as to claim the pack wasn't even playtested at all). And despite this I do have a few good things to say about it. Despite what I said about integration being poor it is FAR better in terms of Epic Fight. Almost everything from mobs to bosses used epic fight move sets, and its clear it went an extremely long way to making the modpack feel like its a cohesive game instead of a jumbled mess of mods. The bosses are also often very unique and are pretty fun to fight against. When I wasn't too weak or strong they were very well designed. Also while I do dislike the questing system its very much a breath of fresh air compared to the FTB Quest system which is in almost every single modpack of a significant size.

Looks great! It reminds me of that old RPG modpack from the 2010s I used to play. I forgot what it's called but the map was insanely huge and incredibly detailed. Seeing how modpacks have progressed since then.. is just insane. Y'all are mad talented and I genuinely can't wait to play this!! Thanks for keeping the community strong and alive 💪😁

Looked very promising but am extremely disappointed with the game. The game isn't balanced at all, and the progression is very confusing and grindy. Most loot is worthless and the only good thing about the game is the fight which is just one mod and the unique bosses which just spawn randomly.

Love the idea, but as usual, very mediocre execution. It took you a year to make a modpack where I spawn next to immediate death, and villages are busy trying to murder invincible mobs? I get it's a 'hard' modpack, but 'hard' shouldn't just be "lmao figure it out. btw this thing kills you immediately", it should be actually challenging. Rebirth of the Night is a prime example of what to do when making a hardcore modpack. It may not match the same focus, but it's planning and how fleshed out and together every mod is is absolutely something to take inspiration from. The performance is also abysmal. I get it's modded minecraft, but there's at least an effort you could have made to making it slightly bearable. If you are going to make it essential to find a village, why the hell don't I just spawn in one? That would almost entirely alleviate the problem of spawning in ridiculous locations.

Hey, I had a weird issue I'd like to make note of. Last night I had been playing the modpack without issue; however when I updated verison to Dawncraft 1.6hf, for whatever reason it kept just launching as Minecraft 1.18.x with none of the mods in the mod folder for dawncraft. I tried changing back to Dawncraft 1.6 patch and it did not fix the issue. What I had to do to fix it was uninstall the modpack and reinstall it. Doing this fixed it and made the Dawncraft 1.6hf patch playable for me. Wasn't sure where to post bugs/issues sorry in advance if this isn't the best place. Love the modpack keep up the great work!

bro there is a bug with the "Antique Atlas" and "Terralith", the map does not load the textures correctly so keep it in mind so you can fix it. The rest of the modpack is spectacular
