Just wanted to let you know that you could have used Shulker boxes instead. After a height of 122 blocks from the ground level, anything placed on top becomes invisible. However, using Shulker boxes counts as an entity, rather than an actual block. This means that you wouldn't be able to see it as well, until the egg had spawned
