A, the climbing community is typically super cool. B, the new - ish couple channel is rad. C, your figure 8 knots are kind of stressing me out lol. Tie it closer to your harness IE: smaller loop and less chance of failure. Also (not TOTALLY necessary) but a stopper knot on your figure 8 is a REALLY good idea for those newer to tying them. Especially with a short tail like you're using. Final rant, it was hard to tell the anchor system you were using, but I suggest looking into a quad anchor. They can be pre-built for most anchor bolts and are the most equalized and (in my opinion) safest anchors for beginners (when executed accurately). Happy and safe climbing!

As someone who used to climb at Donner at least weekly, I can highly recommend Tacos Jaliscos in Truckee for killer post-climb Mexican food! That was our go-to place for street tacos and beer. Living in Seattle now, I miss the Summit! When you get a little more experience under your belts with leading, check out all the stellar routes on Snowshed Wall and Black Wall. For starters...

@@codyandvictoria the peak design capture clip is going to be your best friend for carrying your camera while climbing. It's what I use but I still get the heeby jeebies when I have expensive equipment up high. Makes even easy climbs nerveracking.

I actually have the same Shimoda backpack and capture clip setup. It works great. It's better, in my experience, to use it to film/photograph others climbing. I set up on another route nearby and rappel into position, lock myself off on the rope, and shoot others from there.

I have a question-- in that one section where the background music is copyrighted, wouldn't that qualify as "fair use" since the recording would be incidental? Just curious. Thanka for the comments! I think that they would flag it because it's basically AI that decides if you used a copyright song. That particular song was incredibly obvious. Figure it's better not to use it than have to go through the dispute process
