In my own personal opinion, I don’t want to use the word despise, but I don’t really enjoy the idea. I would 100% enjoy this if it was a disneyland show, but I don’t think this should come to Broadway. I enjoy seeing the theatre community across TikTok, and am certainly impressed how this platform unites a certain community, and I am a devoted theatre lover, but I side more on the older classics, which I highly recommend looking into, such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bock and Harnick, Adler and Ross, Bernstein, Sondheim, Lloyd Webber, Maury Yeston, Bounlil and Schonberg, and Cy Coleman. I have always had a mentality as a former Disney fan, that Pixar movies, and the Pixar company should stick to not having music, as compared to Disney, who have had music since their first feature film Snow White which premiered in 1937. Regarding the music, I would certainly be interested if it was not very dialogue-y, meaning that the song was a conversation or about a mouse, rather about the singers feelings or opinion rather than the subject itself. Overall, I highly respect your ideas, but I feel like this would be much better as a Disneyland attraction, such as the nemo musical. I think Broadway deserves original musicals, leaning towards the classic or golden age style, since we haven’t had a proper classic musical that felt like golden age Broadway since “The Light in The Piazza.” I very much enjoy contemporary musicals nowadays such as Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, Once, Spring Awakening, and Hadestown, and by no mean insulting them.
