50 years ago, my Dutch grandparents made a bold deal. My grandfather was offered a job in Monterey, Mexico for one year. They had been dating for only two months, but they were deeply in love. They had no cell phones, email, or even regular flights between the Netherlands and Mexico. So they made a deal: if they still loved each other after he came back, they would make it work. The year of separation was difficult, but their love grew stronger. When he finally returned home in The Netherlands, they knew that they were meant to be together. They got married and started a family. They built a beautiful life together, and they raised a big and loving family. 50 years later, they are still happily married, and we all are grateful for the deal they made all those years ago. @scroft: Their story is a reminder that true love can conquer all. Even when faced with distance and challenges, love can endure. And Ireland is much closer to Court Farms ;)

His Current block, with rework, could make a great setup for horses. Bout the right size. Guess that'd depend on where Beanie and Scroft end up in a year, he has a lot of penny-saving to do if he's looking at a permanent residence on the block.

Sept. 26, 2023 I agree with @MrErichuizer but if you truly have serious feelings for Ms. Beanie, please, please, please, tell her. That's NOT influencing whether she stays or goes, but Ms. Beanie needs to know you truly care about her and whether or not there's a chance for a relationship while she's gone and when she returns. Don't just say you're going to miss her. At least now there are cell phones with video capabilities, email, text and messaging apps. Stay in constant touch. Act no differently than if she was still here. Chat with her daily, even if it's just a simple text letting her know you're thinking about her, just like she was still here. You be careful about that Holly person. Stay away from her. Even if you don't do anything, that won't stop Holly from making up stories and telling Ms. Beanie all sorts of garbage and trying to break you two up. I don't do "drama" and if Holly starts any trouble, she's gonna have to deal with me and believe you me, it won't be pretty!!! My son and daughter-in-law leave little sticky notes all over their house and in their vehicles daily to each other. Even if it's just a smiley face. It's the thought that truly counts. My heart aches for you sir. 💔 I know your heart dropped to your stomach when she said she was going. Mine did. It's never easy letting someone you love spread their wings and fly. Spend as much time as possible with her before she leaves and make the time special. You'll both have good memories to keep you company while she's gone. I'm also happy for Ms. Beanie. Being a former horse owner, I can only imagine how excited and apprehensive she is. I saw you slow down driving by Ms. Beanie's on your way in to Mr. Gerry's. Is she going to keep her house? Maybe you can offer to keep an eye on it for her. You need to carry a pad and pencil with you, AT ALL TIMES, so that when you need to communicate with Mr. Keith, he can write down what he's saying. If it were an emergency and Mr. G wasn't available, you wouldn't have any idea what Mr. K needed. I think I'd pass on buying that field for now. You have way too much on your plate, what with Mr. G expanding his farm. I still think you'll end up with his farm or becoming a full partner with him before it's all said and done. I must admit sir, I was in tears by the end of the video. I will never meet you, Mr. G nor Ms. Beanie but you're all part of my family and I only want the best for all of you. Tell Ms. Beanie you love her and make sure she doesn't forget it while she's gone. Ms. Beanie, everything I've said to Mr. Scroft goes for you as well. Tell him how you feel. Don't wait until "tomorrow" becuz "tomorrow" may never come. I know, I've been there. Hold on to each other for all it's worth and do NOT listen to what others (Holly) say. ALWAYS, ALWAYS communicate with each other and do not be afraid to tell each other what's on your mind or what others (Holly) might say. I better go now, it's getting difficult to type.
