I know it’s easy for Sri Lankans to hate on Indians because the rest of the world does, but boy when I visited India I immediately wanted to come back.. felt homesick… got depressed for the first two days.. Sad thing is when us Sri Lankans go abroad to other countries, we will be negatively treated like Indians because we look similar.

I live in Sri Lanka. India is such a massive country with a huge population and it probably depends on which part you visit as to how nice it is. I’ve visited it twice but was mainly in the poorer parts so was relieved to get back to Sri Lanka. Also, the healthcare and education in Sri Lanka is free and there is a very high literacy rate whereas in India it’s low. Sri Lanka would have been much richer if it wasn’t for the corrupted politicians we had. About 70years ago Singapore aimed to become as well developed as Sri Lanka. But Sri Lanka does have gorgeous scenery, beautiful beaches, wildlife, tea plantations, historical and religious places to visit and so on all within a days travel. I’ve lived in England and moved back to Sri Lanka as I prefer it here.

We truly went to India with an open mind. I, Erika, have traveled to over 60 countries and have never felt so distant from human connection while surrounded by so many people! You never came with open mind as soon as your wife made that comment about not smiling at the very beginning and the incident with the immigration she already madeup her mind to no to like india and leave India you never have it chance even to like and you never intended to come to India admit it, all you ppl go to the worst parts of India even indians won't go and feel like that's only India and have an opinion about it without travelling 0.1% of the country, 99@% of the travellers go to something called Golden Triangle and sometimes Mumbai and in south only Kerala , that's just 4States there are about 25+States ppl don't even know or go to, it's monsoon season now you can go to South India or North East there are some many places you cn visit with all that Greenery, so stop generalizing Entire India,
