Hello Kirsten and Joerg well I'm lost for words with this one ! Absolutely stunning scenery and what a beautiful place to stay , I loved it . The drone filming was really amazing Joerg is very good at it . I don't want to go over the top here but your filming is brilliant and your choice of music was so fitting for Scotland ...well done . Joerg makes me laugh so much , he is so funny . He is always ready for a nibble of something to eat and a drop of drink . I love the idea that you do some walking then you can eat cake !! Awww thanks so much! Hahah yes, we walked so so much in Scotland to do a lot of filming so had a good excuse for cake. We came home last weekend, I wish I could edit videos while travelling but it takes me 2 whole days for one video so I always have to wait until we're home again. Have a nice weekend.

Lovely to see my home country where I haven't lived for 23 years! Inverary Castle lovely went there over 30 years ago. I loved the china room. You should watch the Outlander series. And yes I will be watching Downton Abbey again. When I was there I met the previous Duke and Duchess on horseback when in the gardens.

How lovely you are able to travel. My maternal Grandfather John Border Grandison, was born and raised in Glasglow, Scotland in the 1900s. He immigrated to Canada with his siblings one by one in the middle 1920s. I do so wish I could visit but my age and travel restrictions prevent. Beautiful! Rhododendrons grow wild in the Smoky (Appalachian) Mountains. I have one, which is actually three, at my front door. It grew to 11+ ft tall last year, covering the entryway way from the street, so it got a radical trimming, down to about 1 meter. We did that just after it bloomed last year and it was covered in blooms again this year. It will be 6ft plus by the end of next year. There is one mountain about 35-40 minutes from my home called Roan Mountain and the entire mountain is covered in Rhododendron, They grow wild on the surrounding mountains, as well, but those mountains are a mix of the Rhododendron and hardwood trees. The castles were all lovely'. Thank you for giving us a glimpse. The China display is arranged in a cabinet very similar to the White House in the states. The walls are covered with those cabinets in the White House, but it goes through quite a bit more changes in the states. They change the pattern every 4-8 years and after 250 years, there is quite a bit of china.

In the summer of 1988, for our honeymoon, we drove from Germany up through England and Scotland, staying at hotels along the way. We stayed in John O'Groats one night and were amazed at the fact it was still not dark at 11 p.m.! We took lots of photos and has such a wonderful time. The Third Duke rehoused the locals in a new village as he needed the land to expand and build his new castle the castle we see in this video. So yes the original first castle was built by Sir Duncan but not the actual castle in the video. So yes I suppose you are both right in a way.

I spent 3 and half hours at Inveraray Castle during my last trip in 2019............just fascinating and I think I read every piece of information on display. In the room where all the various weapons are on display is a glass case with articles that belonged to Robert The Bruce which I was quite taken with.
