My friends and I used to sue each other on court TV. The court show pays whoever wins and it doesn't go on anybody's record. So we'd make up cases and they fly you out to LA to film it. This is the full episode of Judge Alex 'Albanese vs. Palmer.'

I hope you know they are both comedian friends who used to prank Judge shows with elaborate made up scenarios. They have done this multiple times on multiple shows. They figured out that as long as the amount is under 5k the producers will fly you out put you on TV and the producers will pay the settlement amount too plus the fee to sign the release rights. Nice scam they had going on.

Court TV shows don't have juries. In the US Juries are only requires for a criminal case that could have a sentence of 6+ months, for civil cases (like lawsuits) or criminal cases with lesser sentences a jury is called only if the defendant or prosecution requests it
