I’ll be honest. Even thought the resolution and the multiplayer tank, the 3DS version is SO much easier to play if anyone wants to try this after so many years. Using a button instead of a shake is so much better for gameplay.

This game was my childhood. I had a crappy Acer laptop that ran Minecraft and Hedgewars, and a Wii that had Wii Sports, Super Mario Bros, and this. This was my favorite game back then and still ranks real high up for me. I always played it when I got babysat when my parents went on dates or saw concerts and the Cliff stage carries so much nostalgia. My dad and I played together as well. So, so, so much fun.

Theory: dks bananas have the ability to create life. This is very obviously showcased in the feathered fiend fight, where they fill the empty vessels of the games enemies and fill them with mashed bananas to bring them to life. This game is hell to complete. Even the bosses are hard. Every boss takes 9 hits. It’s not that bad until the final few bosses. Also to unlock the 9th world you need all the orbs. How do you get the orbs? Either get EVERY SINGLE KONG SPELLED IN EVERY LEVEL IN A WORLD then a challenging stage. Or grind out banana coins to buy them in crankys shop.

This game was my actual childhood and i played it non stop. I bought the game a 2nd time a while ago(due to the disk of my 1st copy snapping in half) and I frankly had a much easier time playing it than Rob and Kai. I got maybe like 1 game over the whole run, and I got the Rare Orbs for Jungles and Ruins. I had to use Super Kong, though, but only for 1 level in the entire game, that being the third-to-last level in Volcano.

3DS is reasonably fine, but the graphics are kinda complete ass and the golden temple levels feel…off. Unauthentic somehow. The original Wii golden temple feels the same way though, it’s not exclusive to the 3DS, but every single level in the game including the regular temple levels feel like DKC levels and the 3DS and Wii golden temple feel wrong and unfun.

Theory:king k rool was using the banana peels for fuel As we see in dkc 1, with fear factory, it seems the main reason the kooks came to the island was for resources. So it's possible when they found out about dks bananas, they decided to use them for bioethanol from the peels.
