2:17:44 I hate to be that guy, but actually, all the levels in the final world ARE referencing the last game. Each level represents a world from Returns. 6-1 is Jungle, 6-2 is Beach, 6-3 is Ruins, 6-4 is Caves, 6-5 is Forest, 9-6 is Cliffs, 9-7 is Factory, and 9-8 and the boss is Volcano. It’s also kinda cool, because all of Returns worlds were in reference to the first DKC games (except for volcano and Beach, but dw about that), so it comes full circle.

I even completed Tropical Freeze 200 % years ago, and I did it twice. That is I played the game normally and collected everything and completed every course again in Hard Mode collecting the blue KONG Letters again, even though it wasn't necessary.

I remember Nintendo posting a video about this game years ago where it was a couple of employees playing their favourite levels. For context it was two people, a guy and a woman. The guy picks a one level and blazes through it in his first attempt. Was impressive because it wasn't exactly an easy looking level (I believe it was in the savannah world). The woman on the other hand picks her favourite level and repeatedly dies. The editor then cuts to black with something along the lines of "40 attempts later" on the screen where they then show the woman's one attempt where she beats the level. I don't remember if it was ever acknowledged why she liked that particular level if it took her many attempts to beat it.

It doesn't matter what the game says, it isn't a 100% if you don't get everything (including the puzzle pieces)

It doesn't matter what they or you think here. By the game's definition 100% or 200% means just beating every level (and collecting all the KONG letters for the K-Levels). Puzzle pieces and everything else, such as doing additional exits, won't increase the percentage. Due to this, there are even two separate speedrun categories that either collect them all or just get 100% by the game's definition.

I'm very impressed how quickly they pulled off Bopopolis. That is universally known as one of the hardest levels, and many think it's the hardest. There's a few bounces you have to do differently than the others and you can't explain it. When get to them you just know it. I've never played it two player so that might make it easier, but personally I'd assume it would be harder that way. On a side note, I love that level and when I play the game I go to that level to farm balloon lives.

Bopopolis is one of the easier K-Levels IMO. All you need to know for that level is that you'll always get a high bounce if you hold the jump button and that the game pretty much autopilots you into each enemy. 5-K and even 3-K were nightmares in comparison.

I use Funky Mode without shame. Not only does Funky make the swimming sections tolerable, but you save any KONG letters you find in the levels even if you don't get them all..
