We’ve been using our stand up paddle boards for just over a year now and we are totally addicted! In this channel we share with you our journey as we answer all the questions we have had as beginners to the world of stand up paddling.

Lake Wendouree is located in Ballarat is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne along the M8.

Lake Wendouree is an artificially-created and maintained shallow urban lake located adjacent to the suburb of the same name in the city of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Lake Wendouree is more than 150 years old.
It is located about 2km from the centre of Ballarat, next to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, near Victoria Park and offers a wide range of attractions and recreational activities both on and off the water. Facilities include the six-kilometre Steve Moneghetti running and walking track, cycling trails, playgrounds and excellent picnic and BBQ facilities. The lake offers opportunities for fishing, sailing and rowing. The world-class 2000 metre rowing course hosted rowing events at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games and remains a venue for school, club and high-level rowing and sailing competitions.
