Between the branch and tree, you could have used a slip knot and then wrapped the line around the trunk of that other tree and back to the knot between them which would have been a 3 to 1 purchase and brought that line back to a rolling hitch knot.

You could always trade that thing in for an off road trailer like an MDC or a Pause. Those American trailers and RV's are not even close to what Australia makes.
