I never thought I'd leave one of these cheesy comments. My Mom and I have been watching you for a few years, Mom found you guys and had me follow too. Mom had 4 heart stints put in on Dec 23rd and 24th and came home on the 27th. Celebrated her 80th Birthday on Jan 2nd. We watched the episode last Sunday morning and talked about travel during the episode over coffee and cherry turnovers. I was out running errands when she began suffering a heart attack, her stints became blocked by blood clots. She passed away in the ER after that. I Just wanted you to know that She loved watching your adventures and the things she had wanted to do. I had been full timing in my RV for a few years b4, and stopped to be with her. She did get to go one a 2 week trip with me in the spring of 2023. Thanks for having such a great channel and delivery of your quality content. Watching this episode a bit choked up, but I'm so glad that you're out there, and letting folks go along on your Journey. Dave

Oh my goodness! Thank you Lord for Peter's miracle! Peter, your Guardian Angel never left your side and was right there with you during the accident on the lake. With so many of your subscribers and Patreon members praying for y'all, the Lord's Angels made sure that you were protected. Whew, so much excitement and Carol and the boys handled it with so much grace and calmness! I am so thrilled that you have the airboat now. Whatever you paid for it, I believe it was necessary and worth the money. Was this a 'Epic Family lake trip' or what!! Cheers!

It can happen to anyone, even the prepared! Thankful Pete had calmness. Must've been his firefighter days kicking in! A friend went in the ice on a Men's church retreat years ago. I don't think he understood the gravity of it all. GRATEFUL. SO VERY GRATEFUL PETE LIVES TO TELL THE STORY. Grateful Pete Jr. didn't have issues on the ice.

From Ottawa: We are so thankful that you are okay Pete. That dream was a warning which combined with your cool head and expertise saved you. To the rest of your family, I am so glad that your husband and father is okay. You were all being watched over, protected and guided. We have property elsewhere on a lake and when we bought it, the previous owner told us that no one ever walks or ice fishes there as it is a deceptive lake that remains too dangerous all winter. Take care 🙏🙏

Kudos to Pete Sr. for being safety-conscious and when so severely tested was strong enough to pull himself from the icy water. I'd still be shaking, from the cold and the close call. Whoa oh my goodness folks… my heart just about shattered when I saw that footage of the broken ice when Pete Snr was travelling! I agree clearly Pete had a premonition and likely his deep need for safety is connected to what he can sense from time to time. Paying close attention without becoming overly fearful is key. Adventuring isn’t without it’s dangerous moments and as you guys are very adept at handling such times. it’s so clear that Pete’s insistence that safety first is non negotiable, literally saved his life along with Divine support 🙏 Such a strong reminder how Mother Nature is stunningly beautiful and also dangerous and to always be mindful of this. Sooo immensely grateful Pete Snr got through the terrifying ordeal safe and sound! Carol my heart went out for you, there was no doubting your how emotional this was for you and the family including dear Lando. The fan boat purchase is certainly a prudent one! Wish I could give you all a big comforting hug …Love you guys a whole bunch 🥰 from NZ 🇳🇿

That is so crazy. I’m glad Senior is OK. Listen, old man you gotta be more careful.😊😊😂😂😂😂 there has gotta be a way of putting on each side 2 1/2 inch aluminum tubes with pontoons on each side like a cat raft to direct that fan boat a little bit better so it doesn’t slide across the ice and you don’t have to worry about it tipping over it’s stabilizes itself like in Hawaii the kayaks and canoes ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out

Pete, this episode showcased your accumulation of life lessons, and it was wonderful way to share what you have spent your life learning. The mindset that you created to keep you and your family safe has just been justified in so many ways. Safety first. ATGAT - "All the Gear All the TIme" is also My motto and what I preach and demonstrate to my sons. Your Financial responsibility, Awareness, Preparedness, Safety mindedness, Calm, cool and collective temperment in emergency situations, and then your Rigging training and Skills with the ropes was what blew my mind and literally had me cheering you on. I am constantly teaching my boys and Levelling Up myself ( I am 55) to be ready for whatever life throws at me. Well done Sir, you just proved that you are ON the RIGHT path. You live your life never knowing when your skills will be called upon, this episode called on some important ones. Pete, sit down and have a long talk with yourself, and know that the knowledge, skills and experience you have been focusing on is Paying off and justified and acknowledge that you are in fact, being the BEST YOU CAN BE. Thank-you for this lesson EFRT.
