In a word 'excellent'. Always equated the Netherlands with dykes however this does not appear to be reclaimed land although certainly flat. Obviously someone had much forethought to establish the canals, and to a standard that the average person can navigate, to allow boat travel in lieu of a car. The quality of facilities and stress free nature of the cruising definitely makes this an appealing option for 'an escape'. Thoroughly enjoyed!

We do have many dykes that true 😄 but we only have a bit of reclaimed land! Most was there already 😁 and Friesland certainly has been around a long time. Amazing place for some boat life :):) thanks for still hanging around 🤩

Way too long! We just chartered the boat for a weekend. We’ve been busy and MIA for too long! And we sold Blue unfortunately. But the new owners are great and we might just visit her again some day :) We gotta come up with more ways to stay connected to the boat and the ocean now :)
