We take former Ipswich Buses Roe-bodied Leyland Atlantean No.6, MRT6P on a journey from the Ipswich Transport Museum to Sidegate Lane.
No.6 is owned by the ITM, and is operating a journey on the Ipswich Transport Museum running day to coincide with the celebration of AEC Regent V '63', ADX63B's 60th birthday
From the Transport Museum we take Cobham Road, Felixstowe Road, Bixley Road, Heath Road, Colchester Road, Renfrew Road, Ayr Road, Humber Doucy Lane, Sidegate Lane and return via Colchester Road, Heath Road, Bixley Road towards the Museum.
Vehicle featured is former Ipswich Borough Transport No.6, a Leyland Atlantean AN68A/1R with HC Roe bodywork, MRT6P.

These have “Autosteer” lightly assisted steering. It’s probably most politely described as a compromise… (colloquially known as Autoveer) … too much when you don’t need it and not enough when you do; and they can get very notchy if they get worn, which can lead to some interesting experiences. They can also amplify poor road surfaces. Fortunately this one isn’t too bad, just a minor inconvenience at low speed.
