Mark, as usual fantastic job, it seems like I'm riding on the back of the wave runner. If I was thinking of taking my boat to the lake from western mass where would you recommend I launch my boat and are there any hotels or motels that my wife and I could stay at with a boat trailer. Gil

Hi Nick. Thank you for watching! I'm not sure of the actual height under the LI Bridge. I even looked in the www.winnipesaukee.com/ forum but didn't find an answer. That said, I noticed that people had put their drink bottles/cans on the beams under the bridge when we went underneath. On our WaveRunners, I think I would have been able to touch the beams if I stop up and stretched, but I'm short so that's probably not a good comparison. I'm going to guess somewhere between 4 and 5 feet, but I'd definitely go slow before passing underneath.

I went to the Navionics web app - webapp.navionics.com/ - and it shows the height at 7.7 feet. The water level does fluctuate so I would only use that as a guide.

@@MarkDHall thank you for letting me know. I would like to get a 20-23' cuddy cabin. Which would have a bridge clearance of 4-5'. That's good to know that it would be able to clear the Long Island bridge. Looks like a beautiful lake to boat on.

@@nicksperry9936 From what I understand about most boats, for Winnipesaukee, the bigger the better. We had a 19' bass boat, and it was pretty good, but bass boats tend to ride differently than deep V hulls, so I don't know if they can be compared. That said, we also had a 14' aluminum boat with a 15HP, but we tried to say in in sheltered water around the islands with that. We were out this past Memorial Day weekend, and the waves were INSANE. The wind wasn't the issue. It was the boats. There was 3-4' chop everywhere, and it was wet and rough riding on the WaveRunners. The boats are getting huge on the lake - 50-60 feet cabin cruisers, and they make HUGE wakes.

Cool, thanks for the nice video. I'm gonna be an owner of the VX Cruiser also, probably this summer, and operate it mainly in Colorado. I haven't yet chosen between VX Cruiser and VX Cruiser HO. I'd love to go with a more powerful model but not sure if I want to deal with higher fuel consumption. How long were you waiting for machines after you placed the order? Is it something that takes long to get your PWC delivered?

Hi Alex. Sometimes I'd like to go faster than the 52-53 that the non-HO version goes, but then almost every lake we go to has a 45MPH speed limit, so it's kind of pointless. The HO may accelerate a lot quicker, though, which would be fun. One interesting point. The non-HO gets its best MPG at higher speeds, whereas the HO version gets it best MPG at slower speeds, so if you're causing at 32+, you'll get better mileage with the non-HO version. That said, I don't know the MPGs of the HO version, but we get insane mileage. We went over 50 miles last weekend and only used 5 or 6 gallons. Regarding delivery, we bought ours through a boat show. Matt's came in 1 week after the boat show, and mine came in 2 weeks after that, but they had been on order for months before that the dealer said. The dealer told us they typically take 4 months to come in from the time they place the order. Here in New England, most dealers have them in stock, but they said once they sell out of their inventory, they might not be able to get more this season. Not sure why, but I hope that helps. @@MarkDHall That's interesting, thanks for the explanation. Yeah... for cruising it makes more sense to buy non-HO but in my case I think I will ride most of the time in the "full-throtle-idle" mode just for fun rather than long cruising. So I need to think it over.

Ok. You’re doing okay and this is a fun video. However, please don’t butcher the state’s pronunciations. The mountain, Chocorua is pronounced Chuh KORE u uh. Chuh KORE u uh. You’re killing me. LoLI’m glad you’re enjoying the gorgeous lake. I’m from there and summer every year there on Welch island. Very homesick. Also chocorua is not as well known as Mount monadnock in the western part of the state. THAT is the mountain I think you are thinking of as far as it being the most-climbed status.

You are correct. I was thinking of Monadnock. That's one of the most, if not the most hiked mountain in the world behind Mount Fuji I believe. And, I apologize for messing up on some words. It's all where you come from I guess. My family is from TX, and down there everyone talks about "ALL changes" when they need to get their oil changed. Thanks for watching!

@@joycegilbert3481 No, I didn't take it as being rude at all. I hope my reply didn't come across as rude either. I actually thought your comment was great because it reminded me of when I was a kid. I was born in New England and never noticed my parents' southern drawl, but people would always ask where they were from. I first noticed accents when we went to TX and someone said something about getting their "all" changed. I had no idea what they were saying, and my mom was like, "Oil, Mark...they want to get an oil changed." When my family moved to Massachusetts from the south, my sister entered a spelling bee in elementary school and made it to the final round. The teacher asked her to spell "quat." She thought she misread and asked the teacher to repeat it, and then my sister spelled it out - Q, U, A, T, but she got it wrong. The teacher said, quat, like you're buying a quat of milk. That was her introduction to the Boston accent. 😊
