I live in North Carolina and have two sons, 1 in Ashville and one next door in Old Fort. The entire area has taken a beating and the folks need and appreciate the help! Thank you Matt, Colt, Barnes and 828Strong for helping get the word out and teaming up to offering assistance. One of the reasons I enjoy these videos is the positive attitude Matt, his family and team bring to each one. Keep up the good work guys!

I live in the Asheville NC area and was affected by the hurricane. We just want to thank everyone for their support and prayers as we dig out from under the mud and devastation Helene caused. Many of us don’t even have water, much less power or communications. That includes cell service. Over 1000 are still missing or unaccounted for where I live, which is right on the French Broad river. The support we’re seeing now is amazing, but what we really need is that long term support after the hype is over. Please check out the many different ways to donate or serve, including the Barnes 4wd effort. Thanks and ❤to you all.

Growing up in NC, with family that has been directly impacted, it's so touching to see the whole country showing up and helping in any way they can. I feel sometimes that we are a nation so divided. Thank you Matt and Colt for stepping in with Barnes to help get some relief to the NC people. When I used to drag race my turbo Corvair, I would drive thru the water box, but only to get the tires wet. That way, when you dump the clutch, the tires will spin easier, reducing bogging, and easing the load on the U-joints and spider gears. My buddy had a turbo Corvair that ran in the high 13's, so, 15s should be no problem with a few tweaks.

Back in the day I helped a friend run a new 1962 Monza Spider. I said back in the day! More traction than HP is a Corvair problem that causes the bog after clutch release. Standard tire was 6.50/13. We went to 6.00/13 on the rear that had been further narrowed by grinding the shoulder to narrow the surface patch and running about 40 psi. This helper the bog significantly by letting that fire breathing 6 pot keep the revs up so the turbo would work a bit better. Same class as the 260 Falcon Sprint and it depended on the launch as to who win. Good times.

I know how the South East feels. I live in Barre, Vermont. We have had massive floods for the last 3 years. Deep staging! The secret to getting wicked good reaction times with super underpowered cars! In high school I deep staged a 1965 chevy pickup just to shave that extra hundredth off and call it a 13 second truck! Lol! Good job all!

Watching Jake tour the upstairs office area with his dirty mechanic’s hands was stressing me out.😂 Don’t touch those white walls Jake!

You get stressed out way to easily. It's a shop office. It's going to get dirty.

Great video!! Rudy did really well with his Corvair!! I'm thinking at 17 seconds he must be one of the fastest Corvairs out there!! Not counting any super charging or blower mods!! The new shop is going to be SOOOOOOOO AWESOME!! Can't wait to see you all in it!!!

Cool cars there. Looked like a early '70s Jag XJ6 Series 1. And a '61-3 T-Bird w/a chopped top!

@@brianmelcarr Very cool car to grow up with! I have a '67 420/S. You seldom see the Series 1 like in the video.

@@brianmelcarr Wow, nice. You must be in England, no? Prior to the '70s we almost never even saw a Jaguar here in most parts of the US of A.

It always amazes me when I watch you guys struggle to install tires on a vehicle that's 4 ft in the air! Lower the vehicle and use a tire spoon to lift the tire. Work smarter, not harder.

Man, love seeing and hearing those cars at the drag strip. When I was a little kid in the '60s and early '70s, these were the cars you saw driving around every day.
