IMPORTANT! The S1 and T1 actually use normal E3D V6 nozzles not volcano nozzles but any v6 nozzle should work. The S1 nozzle is bimetallic, made from brass with a hardened steel tip and the T1 is regular brass.

Bought this printer, installed the newest updates (from around end of august). This thing absolutely flies, print quality is insane. And the noise is a lot less than people make it out to be, you can print almost everything on 50% fan speed (reviews were all on 100%) and there's a silencer print loaded on the machine itself.. So that's honestly your first print. Absolutely in love with it- honestly blown away, haha!

You sure its a volcano nozzle? Someone else said it looks like a v6, and in their new nozzle change video it looks like a v6 or mk8. Hopefully it's one of those three because another proprietary size when they don't have other diameters available is a problem.

You're right, we had the wrong information, it is actually a normal e3d v6 nozzle, same goes for the T1. Thanks for pointing it out!

From what i've seen it's a volcano extruder/heater block with V6 nozzle

Wonder how far we are going to take fast printing. I thought 500mms was insane but this is just ridiculous. I dont even really print above 250mms to balance speed and quality.

This is my first delta. (I have 10x Prusas / 5x Fusion3’s / 1 Bambi X1C / 1 FormLabs Form2 and An old Fablicator that is now 10yrs old) Here’s my take…(I’m an engineer and print functional parts - not so much artsy stuff) The S1 was purchased not only for speed, but integrated filament dryer / enclosed and print volume. Is it loud - yes. (It lives in my garage shop with the other large format printers) The print quality using Overture Pet-G was comparable to my Prusa iMK3s machines but 50% the print time by comparison. (Used S1 default nozzle temp and flow rate profile - I did increase the bed temp to 90) When prototyping and running a business - speed and quality are both equally important. This printer has quickly become the goto. (The Bambu X1C is a close 2nd, but limited in print volume) Wish list for the S1: have auto retract on the spool for unloading filament. Multiple filament. I see no reason why FLSUN could accommodate at least 3 filaments. (On per side) Multi-Material (not just color) Additional functionality on the display panel for loading / unloading filament/ temperature overrides for drying and loading / unloading. The slicer is premature and needs to be improved. It’s almost like Prusa Slicer, less some of the ease of use menus. (Right Mouse Button in slicer has all the functionality that should be in top pull down menus) Thanks for the review… 😊

I"m interested in getting the S1 but as for speed claims I'm more concerned about normal printing and not speed benchy races. The Bambu default speed for good quality prints is about 250 mm/s from what I have seen online. So I guess the real question is can the S1 print good quality prints at 500 mm/s or 700 mm/s? I would be happy with that all day long. Others mentioned the people who have a side gig printing and selling products. With the increased speed this would be a plus for sure.
@3DJake_Official6 ай бұрын
We had pretty solid results under 600mm/s with a standard PLA. I think that would be the limit. Under 600 for showcase prints, anything above for draft prints.
@theVariedLife6 ай бұрын
@@3DJake_Official that is very good for speed and quality, Definitely better than bambu x1c. If only there was an AMS for the S1 it would be a home run.

Hey, a couple of years ago, I used some older printers. Now I'm considering upgrading to something more professional, like the S1 or the new S1 Pro. I’m leaning towards the S1 Pro due to its price. I found your video while looking for reviews and noticed you don’t have the S1 Pro in stock. Could you consider adding it to your shop, ideally at a competitive price?

It is not visible in the shop yet but will be added very soon! Stay tuned!

finally i found some good footage of the S1! im really torn between buying this, a p1s. the x1c doesn't have the upgrades from the p1s that i truly care about so it is either that or the s1 which is over double the price but also double the speed.
@00HiGhGuY006 ай бұрын
I'm not that concerned about speed, I still think overall, the Babmbu Lab X1 is hard to beat. I do love the large build area of the S1. I wish Bambu would make an X1 XL, that had maybe double the build volume. Also, it would be nice if they made the build chamber air tight, with a built in port on the back of the machine to easily ventilate toxic fumes via a 4 inch duct pipe outdoors.

Looking at that thing....... I think we're nearing the point where you measure print volume by the number of small children that'll fit inside the print enclosure.

If you can answer this then you are the top surgeon level of 3d printing. Is bambu labs filament already a high speed filament like this polysonic pla? I just want to make sure that my x1c uses actual high speed filament. I have done the research, but can't find yes or no answer. Thanks. Signed- Real OR surgeon but a nerd for tech. Lol

I actually have no idea, I have never tried bambulab filament. I have heard rumours some of their filament is just rebranded Polyterra but I don't know anything more than that 😐

@@3DJake_Official all good, I ordered all 3 that you mention in your videos and will do some benchmarking and want to find out that way. @@bigj-yn3tf I think Bambu tested a high speed PLA and got around 13 minutes, so I don't think that PLA is good for really high speed.

I still think it's funny that manufacturers tout the speed of these things when it's pretty well known at this point that you won't be printing at those speeds if you want any semblance of quality..like yeah, it can move that fast, butt why ya gotta try to act like it'll have the same quality as printing slow..

That's travel, and they're being very conservative in what they advertise. It can easily do double that. My delta does 2400 travel and can go higher especially if I limit acceleration to something under 25k. But for actual print move speed, this thing is going to start hitting extrusion limits around 300-400 mm/s.
