Father Stan Swamy, the 83-year-old tribal rights activist who suffers from Parkinson's disease and was arrested last month over his alleged involvement in the Bhima-Koregaon case, couldn't get a straw and sipper for around four weeks because the National Investigation Agency (NIA) didn't have them, the agency has said. Isn't this cruelty in the name of justice? We discuss.

This is cruelty in connivance with the executive and the Judiciary. The CJI brings judges from their holidays to overnight exonerate a member of the ruling party. And the judges were right in saying that personal liberty was at stake. What about the personal liberty of Fr. Stan and the others languishing in jails. The CJI should take note.

Sorry to say sensitivity is only for people supporting the ruling party and without any hastle one gets priority hearing shamelessly justifying that the case was not addressed properly by high court. How many such cases of poor or middle class has been readdressed by the supreme court on these grounds . Am sure there are cases like that . Even if justice was justified but how did the court hear on priority when so many important cases are in queue and pending. I don't know what is the justification for that. Are this jailers not human being. Why was he not given medical assistance at the first instance. Do someone needs to teach them that. Actually that jailer should be suspended for such insensitive behaviour. As a lesson for others

Considering this mans age and infirmities, the heavens will not fall if petty liberties are extended to him. Even a hard core criminal or terrorist gets better treatment. As an old saying goes: Laws are made for Man and not vice versa. This is the land of Mahatma Gandhi and we should keep this in mind. These are not limited to Jail only . The hospitals are even Culprits. A just a deccade ago 81 healthy women got severly sickened by a single Surgeon who conducted minor procedure of sterrilizaton in the hospital Facility and 21 of healthy women were died and rest are still living in distress and ailment out of infection from unhyginic procedure done wearing same glove for all women. They are filthiest in the whole world. The tourits ever suffer from food-born desease after visting there. The laws and rules for hygine and cleanness are sitting in a sealed cabinet without enforcing it by the illiterate and untrained Employees of Local Departmental Heads. UN must insist for clean and hygine procedures. It is the only remedy.
