I like the adult only idea. My husband and I went to Dominican Republic and stayed at an adults only resort and absolutely loved it. I love children but when you’re older sometimes you just don’t want that distraction and noise. Thank you so much

Enjoyed this video and seeing what it was like on Virgin. My 99 yr old mom and I are confirmed small ship cruisers. We've been on 11 on American Cruise Lines, which I highly recommend. We have seen many different parts of the states (including Alaska). Next up is Florida from St. Petersburg to the Keys and back. They are pricier than the big ships, but that's what we prefer. Also, no kids. Mostly us old folks.

No children sounds great, I love kids just don't want to cruise with them. I am vegetarian and hubs is also a steak man. You both have such positive attitudes, great review.

Wow…updated amenities on Virgin Cruise Lines! We always enjoyed the formal dining on Viking Cruises. They offered an interesting way of presenting food. Glad you enjoyed the cruise and shared your experience with viewers.

Thanks for the info. You might mention that they have over 20 restaurants on board to choose from for no extra charge. Wifi is included as is gratuities. The drink package you can buy is good for the cabin, so as opposed to other lines, not everyone has to buy the pkg. 🎉

Going on our second Virgin cruise in May. At Razzle Dazzle we love the watermelon slice with fresh fruit, very unique. Thanks for tip on booking shows once at terminal, I didn’t know that and we missed shows as well. Btw, we live in The Villages too!

I have only been on one cruise. It was a short 4 day, 3 night business jaunt with my husband on Royal Caribbean. Nassau, Atlantis and then went to Coco Cay, all I wanted to do was soak up the sun and lay on the beach. We were with another couple (my husband’s boss and his wife who was from Hawaii and a certified diver). They were all in the water razzing me to get in there so I finally did and as I entered the water, got stung by a school of jelly fish! What were the odds? All those people in the water? Needless to say, that ruined it for me. 😂 My husband saw a huge tiger shark nearby and the stingrays were giant! I ended up on my husband’s back half drowning him and we all were laughing so hard, we could hear each other through our snorkel mouthpieces. Looks like you had a wonderful getaway and will look forward to hearing about your Alaskan cruise!

We are definitely intrigued by Virgin Cruises. One of my girlfriends took a cruise with a bunch of her work friends that she hadn’t seen in awhile and they all loved it. Glad there are a variety of ages too.

Went on Royal cruise in 1993 to Bahamas and Coco Cay. The island was so primitive then but awesome. It felt like we were a million miles away from civilization. Now it is like a theme park. We snorkeled, played volleyball, competed in games like limbo. It was so cool.

Going on the Valiant lady in Feb 2024! New line for us as well. I have only sailed with Royal Caribbean so far. My last sailing was for my 50th birthday on Wonder of the seas and there were 2000 kids on board. That's a little much.

Hubby and I are like you, will try new things... doesn't mean we will like everything, but that's ok ... and more often than not we like most... cool cruise!!! We love RC , will try Virgin! We can cruise easliy out of either Bayonne, NJ or Baltimore, MD but have also flown to FL and cruised from Miami

Been on many Virgin cruises.. won't cruise another line. You missed two of the best eateries,the Wake and the dock...and booking a suite is the way to go. Perks are well worth it from early access to dinner reservations,early embarkation and a rockstar agent...not to mention the extra room in the suites.

That was really helpful. Have been thinking about doing it. So different than regular cruising. Just got off Cunard where my husband had to wear a jacket or tux every night. lol. Sounds much more casual.

Definitely more casual. Instead of a formal night, they have a scarlet night where you can wear something red. It's neat because all of the lighting around the ship has that red tone also. That said, you don't have to wear red if you don't want to

This is definitely on my bucket list, but after seeing these restaurants, I am concerned I wouldn't find anything to eat since I am a fussy eater. Food does seem a little odd. Also, have you guys considered taking the Brightline from Orlando to the port? You can work or relax during trip, and I think it's only around 3 1/2 hours or so.

Most cruise lines don't have the open spaces like RC. On Princess I felt like the ceilings are only 8ft tall a bit confining. For me I don't like the fuss of having to use an App for every single thing you do, book your Breakfast lunch & dinner. book your activities, even book to go to a show? Maybe they all are like this now, I haven't been on a cruise in quiet awhile.
