We got a new archer in the house! I met this power couple at TAC Utah last year, Audrey didn't own a bow and wanted to get one in 2024... I offered to host them for a weekend and help them get connected with MFJJ at Spokane Valley Archery for a bow build. They flew up and the rest is history. It was fun weekend and it's always exciting to see somebody dive into the deep end of archery!

He was a good shot already so I can imagine that he will get better now that you have his bow fitted properly for him. Audrey is definitely going to be a great competitor. This was good info on draw length also, so here is what I just went through... Too bad you are a 2 day drive away and a different country. I think all the varying "methods" from the shops setting you up and giving advice has the potential to be very damaging to ones form. The reason I mention this is I recently purchased a new bow and the draw length now is where it feels it should be, the previous set up I was drawing too far thus creating issues for me, especially when developing a form and habits and I could not get any consistency( i'm talking 20 yard consistently missed vital zones)thinking I simply didn't have the ability to shoot properly or bow hunt so I was almost ready to put the old bow up for sale and stick to black powder and rifle. So thankfully giving it one last try with the correct staff did save me abandoning the hobby but I'm still confused about the drawing with sight/eyes on target and see even pros doing it and if you can't you have too much draw weight. I'm not an archer, just a hunter who wanted to hunt in non -20 C conditions and get out more. Excellent channel and info.

Mathew's modules work good if you know your draw length and your buying them to adjust draw weight. However I know my draw weight and am over buying modules to get my correct draw length. I say this because I know my draw with an index release but as I transition to my UV button I once again have to buy more modules.... I've already bought 2 sets of modules for 60$ each to get my index length set close and I cant get it precise bc mathew's are 1/2" while other manufacturers offer 1/4". Elite and hoyt are so much easier to switch draw length and letoff I have no reason to buy multiple modules from mathew's. It could be that 3 of my local shops said my DL was right and after shooting 5k+arrows I decided where my DL needed to be and I'd bet mfjj could have helped me better in the firs place.
