Some added context for people with negative things to say..one of our dear friends, (born and raised in Costa) explained to me how much of an economic boom this is for small businesses. The money made from the intense increase in foot traffic around Uvita supports hundreds of local families for months following the festival, including my friend. They have nothing but positive things to say, as there is no trash left behind and for the most part all the visitors are respectful to the local ecology. Hell, i dont really care for this type of festival, but for the sake of the small business owner in south west costa rica, i hope it continues and even expands.

Hi, great vid! we are going this year with our 2.5-year-old! I was assuming we wouldnt be able to bring the buggy (pram/stroller) but seeing you with yours I'm hoping I was wrong as it would be really handy to have it, did you find it easy to use around the festival? thanks!

Super handy to have! Also bring a fan you can attach to it (we linked ours in the video description) because it helped so much with the heat

So awesome that you'll be there this year! I'd 110% recommend bringing a rechargeable fan if you're camping in a tent. It will make or break the trip. I love what this stands for! And I feel the love and positivity and the heart opening a festival like this could bring. It's unfortunate that it seems a bit too expensive for anyone below the upper middle class. I wish there was a way to make this more accessible to the working class. I'm sure I will make an appearance someday. If I'm meant to go, a path will appear, but Burning Man it is until then! Pura Vida! By the way, Burning Man is fuking awesome! A bit more snarky and unfortunately not as sustainable, but Mother Playa is Magick!

It's definitely feels expensive. But, it is 7 days long. If you get the early bird tickets when Envision releases them, you'll save quite a bit. Do you know how much Burning Man is? I feel like you'd be spending A LOT more doing that. You have to rent an entire vehicle plus all of your supplies, etc to be there. I actually have no idea how much it is though, but I feel like it would be more.

@@hopscotchtheglobe Burning Man is cheaper if you already live in the US. It's also 7+ days long. If you live out of the country, then it might be comparable. Not that Burning Man is cheap. It is more expensive if it's your first time and you don't have the proper camping supplies, but for me it's not that much because I have most of what I need. Also, most people pay a few hundred to join a camp and the camp has a lot of the supplies, shade structure, showers, meals,etc. You could bring your own car, or you could take the Burner express buss which is pretty cheap and lots of fun. I made a really good friend riding it one time. Also, it's pretty easy to snag ride to the burn with random people although maybe not so ideal with little children. Your first time at the Burn, you're probably gonna spend around $1,500 to $2,000 inlcluding ticket, airfare, camp fees, camping supplies and groceries. Although if you're thrifty and borrow from friends and reach out to the community it can be done for way less. Still pricey, but more doable for me than Costa Rica. Although I love Costa Rica and plan to go to Envision some day. I have a feeling you will like the burn. There are some weekend warriors and plug and players that don't get the principles and might be a little annoying, but even they can be transformed by the playa and there is still a solid burner community there who hold the 10 principles.

@@spencerellington547 Uh no. Envision tickets start at $800, and it's in a foreign country. I'd say it's at least $1000 more expensive than Burning Man. Although I'd still like to go. I love Costa Rica.
