I had a real mess with some fast cure resin yesterday - it clumped up, hardened and yep, a total mess, lol. With that dragon duck you could also make a silicone mold of it, so you could cast some in resin. I thought that would look cool :) Those stains on the molds should be fine to keep reusing them. That quite often happens if you use inks on your mold, and it doesn't transfer, so maybe check out one of them with clear resin before you throw them away :) They look absolutely awesome. Everything turned out great, really enjoyed seeing the results. I bought my first translucent resin colours, I love them. The green octopus is a little stunner, dio film does great things in translucent colours. At school I wanted to do woodwork but in those days a girl had to do cooking (home economics) 🥱 Thank you and Love to all, kids with fur, without fur and with scales 💖

You can still use stained molds. It doesn't affect the pours. Just make sure it is clean of any paint first. You can also hang onto it for any future painted skulls.

Hey, Ben and Nicole. Thanks, we had a great Christmas. I hope y'all did, too. I got a great gift from my wife, and I was completely surprised. I did not expect it. In fact, when I opened it, I said with a big smile on my face, "Oh no, you didn't!" It was one of your Christmas tree dragon eggs. It's beautiful. I love it. I've wanted one of your eggs for a long time. Thanks to you both for helping my wife make this Christmas even better! She also got me some more resin and some of the flex rubber from Let's resin. I went on an Alaskan cruise back in May - it was fantastic! There was one day at sea where were saw a glacier which was incredible. Unfortunately we missed seeing glacier bay, which most cruises do, but the itinerary change meant we got up close to a smaller one. Highly recommend doing it!

I love the new acrylic sculls they look bad azz. I used acrylic paint on a heart for moms valentine's gift last year, did the same thing now every time I use the mold you can see the words happy valentine's day lol so I flip it over and add top coat to it. Dragon ducks name? How about Donald Draco. Donald for Donald duck and Draco for the dragon in the movie dragon heart. Always enjoy the videos. Have a happy new year, or boxing day.

Aww, I went to Cairnes when I visited Australia, went to the zoo, held some koalas, played and fed some kangaroos, and also went to the Great Barrior Reef. 3 fun filled days with a good friend, who had never snorkeled til I took her. She was so glad I encouraged her.

I was one of the people who mentioned making a 3D copy of the Duck/Dragon. I was so happy to hear that you are going to do it. Just mark the paint colors you used in those molds and re-use them with those paints if the stain doesn’t come out. The stains may not affect the resin either, it’s worth doing a clear one to test.

Excellent Vlog❤ So enjoyed all the pours. Everything came out absolutely stunningly gorgeous ❤ The glaciers are disappearing in Alaska. Better go on that Alaskan Cruise soon. It is absolutely Gorgeous Cruise to do. 2019 I went with my Dad for his 80th. Birthday. We loved every second of it. Left the port at Vancouver British Columbia . You will have to go in your winter . The acrylic paint looks good and has given me an idea. What if you poured a small amount of very bright resin in the skull and rolled it around to cover all the sides before adding the black resin? The bright resin is probably going to quickly run back to the bottom of the skull and get a little mixed up when the black resin goes in, but what would the sides look like???

My Niece is really into building and sculpting with air dry clay using only her fingers. So I bought her a TON of polymer clay and tools to get her started in that direction. I was worried she might not be receptive to it, but she was SO excited and started working with it immediately. So Uncle Tim did good.

I really like the skulls that were done in the acrylic painted molds. If you poured clear into one of the stained molds, how would it come out. Will there be more color transfer or what will happen? octopuses is perfectly fine to say! english has a ton of influences from lots of different languages. words changing from -us to -i for plural is a thing that comes from latin. at a certain point in time, the fancy people decided english wasn't fancy enough so they went through the language and changed the way words were pluralized, and the decided for the latin ones, they would make them more latin. the only problem is that octopus isn't latin at all - it's greek! so now there are people that say octopuses and people that say octopi and other people who say octopodes because that's how they make it plural in greek!

Those acrylic-painted skulls are a great look. Maybe they can be made when you think moulds should be retired - one last hoorah for the mould and it doesn't matter if the paint stains it.

You can get tea lights that are bigger and put in them. I do it in my turtle. It sits even with the bottom of the turtle so you can turn on/off and change battery.

They all look amazing. Ben, I have to agree I absolutely love the ones with beads in them. I've seen many ppl use stained molds as long as they've been cleaned in dish soap n warm water. My in laws did Alaska, they did heaps of cruise all over the world, and I think Alaska was the best. I also worked with a guy who did Antarctica, they went on a smaller ship that went from south America so they could get on the zodiac boats and actually get on the ice or land. They did a slide show and it was amazing. I had no idea there was so much to see down there.

I don't know if you've ever seen the utility mat from Hackaday that has small resin molds built into it. It's so that, when you have that tiny bit of resin left over, you can just pour it into one of the molds on the mat and it makes little tools and decorative bits that you can use for crafting. I'm not sure if there are any other companies that carry something like that, but I thought of you when I saw it. Could make for some useful things or customer freebies.

I went on the Norwegian Sun from Seattle to Alaska in July-August.it's a good trip you see some fantastic sights.only thing i will say is you dont see real Alaska,the places you see are all for tourist's with people just selling gold.Did go out with Huskys in the mountains now that was fantastic.

Ben. You are actually right. Here is what i found on the internet. People often write “octopi” instead because they assume that the plural noun is formed in the same way as Latin loanwords such as “fungus/fungi.” But “octopus” actually comes from Greek, where its original plural is “octopodes.” In English, it instead has the regular plural form “octopuses.”

Sorry about commenting throughout your video but if I don't I forget. Lol, I agree with everyone about your octopus Ben, love it, it's actually more natural looking. Every time you'd say Maya blue I kept thinking you were saying Mayo blue, lol. Maya in English is pronounced like there is no first a May. Like my and ya combined. 😂 It's so interesting to hear how when a word is not common in English it can be pronounced so differently. Every time you'd say octopuses, it would make me think of the song Octopuses Garden. Talking about Night lights, I could probably buy one for the bathroom, because I only have one plug in there and my toothbrush uses that.

"I'm gonna keep saying octopuses because it sounds cool." 🤣🤣🤣 Best reason ever. Maybe you can recycle some old lumber and make a bench dedicated for your pots. You could probably make a bench for each shop so you can move just the pot you need. I think Duckgon. I like the 3D print Duckgon is a good idea, but I would also like to see some made from resin if you can make your own mold. I like the acrylic paint skulls. I wonder if you can still use the molds even though they're stained without the stain color transferring. If all else, like someone said, you can keep those molds to the side to use specifically for the acrylic. Glad Nicole is feeling better and got over her bug before Christmas. Hope your family had a great day together. ❤️ PS. Someone else left the comment and I second the suggestion to put dried flowers inside the giant heart.

Im behind catching up after Holidays. I did a land and sea cruise on Holland American. We got off ship, took an 8 hour train ride with glass top then spent 4 days in Danali but flew home. While on ship we stopped at glacier bay, Juno and few other places. Besides Panama Canal cruise which I’ve done several times, Alaska is one of the few places I really want to go back to. Pictures just dont do it justice. Huge majestic moose where ever you go. The most beautiful scenery. Try to do it. You will not regret. I have gorgeous photos.

My hubby bought me a leveling heating table and a istoyo mixer and he got me some molds and a lets resin saucer shaped uv lamp. I got sick so I didn't get to the craft shows. Lost out on a good income.

When doing frogs why not use syringes/pipettes to do the toes so you can be more accurate and not spill the resin. Xx

There is a koala inspired Pokemon called Kamala. It's essentially a comatosed koala who's asleep but can also attack. But because it's perpetually asleep it cannot be inflicted by another status effect.

I have found stained molds work fine. The stain stays on the mold, but not on your new pieces.
