we found all the hotels we stayed in provided everything and more that we needed in toiletries so next time I would definitely cut down what I took . Try and travel light on clothes too to make more room for bringing stuff back :)

Japanese sweet of black jelly is called Yo-kan. It is originally from the continent, made by the blood of sheep (yo), cooked like a pudding (kan). However in Japan in old days eating animals was prohibited by Buddhism manner, so at the temple, they made a Chinese bloody pudding like jelly cake with bean past and sugar, agar, sea plant, instead of gelatin. Gelatin is made from animal.

It's funny, because I noticed the same. I'm unfamiliar with Chinese trains, but as soon as I saw the attendant, I immediately recognized something was off. Not sure what, but it simply didn't look Japanese.

I was glad when you got on the shinkansen, then you might stop saying it lol, its also known as the Bullet Train. So happy you're heading to do more traditional Japanese things. Not a Disney fan, watching for the Japanese element. You guys don't look too worn from the hectic schedule, thats good.

I know it’s a shame the nazis ruined such a iconic symbol that was used throughout history in shrines! They are rotated differently too, and are slightly different but I can see how it could be jarring if you didn’t know about them 🥲

Please to all the tourists wanting to try out the Japanese toilets, don’t try out the waste function on a public toilet ever! I would not recommend to use it in a hotel actually as I am suspicious they won’t clean the nosal between the guests 😅. Super unhygienic

The water nozzle should automatically slip in and out of a protective sleeve when you use it to keep it clean

@@catherinekayy yes, that obviously on every toilet the case! Still it needs to be cleaned between strangers and at least weekly. It’s super disgusting as sh.. drips basically down the nosal as it cleans. So at home yes, of course it’s clean at your family house of course! But public spaces or as said in hotels when you don’t know how often they clean out the mechanism under the toilet is just 🤢

Your Japan vlogs were recommended to me because I've been watching a lot of Japan videos as preparation for an upcoming trip, and your energy is so lovely, really cozy ❤ I'm not even into Disney and we are not going to Nagano but watching you have fun was really relaxing. The only thing I want to mention is in regards to animal cafes - the cat cafe you went to seemed nice, but in general many of them, especially the more exotic ones like hedgehog and owl cafes, are controversial among animal welfare people because they don't necessarily treat the animals well. Looking forward to your next video ❤
