Now you know 'what not to do', if anyone ever asks how it works, you simply say 'what not to do'. Also proof of how our husbands can be told the same thing over and over + some how they still missed the memo 😂. Makes the adventures the proper journey they should be😺

The story you told about the kind elderly man that went out of his way to help the both of you almost brought me to tears. It is so unbelievably rare to find people these days that are genuinely kind enough to help others; let alone helping people who are not as familiar with their surroundings unlike locals. He was a true gem.

Loved the story about the elderly gentleman who helped you. Japan looks beautiful. I would love to know how you planned out your trip, what towns, how you arranged your travel. Might be a nice idea for a video how to plan a trip to Japan. Kanazawa is a jewel! The city is still not heavily transformed by overtourism, It has Japan's best preserved bukeyashiki (samurai mansion's neighborhood) and chayagai (19th century's geisha neighborhood) and one of the 3 national treasured gardens, the Kenrokuen. Downtown Kanazawa is served by century old canals with clear water, there are even koi and kingyo fish in there!

The shiruko I was eating at 26:19 was an adzuki bean soup with shiratama dango, but the pickles on the small plate next to it were meant to be eaten as a palate cleanser. When you eat salty food, sweet food tastes sweeter, so it is served as an accompaniment.

The powder you liked on the dessert is kinako, which is toasted soybean flour. One of my favourite flavours! Look put for warabi mochi, which is one of my favourite desserts with it on. I love that you visited Kanazawa, because that is definitely not on the regular tourist route! It looks like it gave a bit more of an actual authentic Japanese experience. And the sign did warm about kites and showed birds, because they were warning about the bird of prey called kites. I literally only learnt kites are birds this week because of some news of a kite being in my area, so that’s nice timing that I could share that!

Really enjoying this series! we stumbled across it as we watch so many Japan videos! I’m going for the second time in March 24, im pretty lucky as my partner is half japanese so can speak fluently, let’s just say i rely on her heavily 😂 so i wouldn’t have known this if i hadn’t travelled with her; but a great tip for next time you visit & to anyone else visiting soon - all hotels do offer a luggage transfer service for a small fee, you just have to ask at the desk and they will arrange to take it the day before you check out, and then it will be waiting for you at your next hotel when you arrive ☺️ it’s genius and they are so efficient and quick. Plus Japan is the only country i’d feel safe doing this! I really felt for you having to lug all your suitcases around 😅 Looking forward to the next video 😄
