I wonder if Paul ever thought he'd be building a KZbin channel where he gets to work with his kids. Like 5 years ago he'd probably never imagine what his family has accomplished together. Happy for his family.

Considering they started the channel almost 6 years ago... and I'm sure they were doing family projects long before Jordan started filming him... um yes I think Paul knew. 🤔

@@lightblade543 You're overestimating the expectations of a small KZbin channel. It's pretty safe to assume that an old school guy like Paul never thought that a couple videos of him replacing a toilet flange and exterior light would lead to his son affording property and a very modern garage build funded by an online income. To document and edit all of their different jobs is way more difficult than it looks. I'm positive that there was some behind the scenes doubt whenever filming cost them time early on.

In one of their earlier episodes they said Jordan really had to encourage Paul - like he just knew that his dad's personality would come through, and that while Jordan believed they could be successful, neither of them expected it to get as big as it did. But yeah I def get the impression they have been doing family projects together for a while!

When grouting a porous stone that absorbs moisture, I ALWAYS seal the face of the stone before grouting so that the grout can't stick to the stone. It makes clean up easier. I learned this with 500 sq ft of porous pennsylvania bluestone and i hated life for several days:(

You guys do the best work that I’ve ever seen as a 20 year electrician. Just a FYI, you are no longer permitted per the NEC to have an outlet anywhere below the countertop on an island or peninsula. Good luck grouting? Bakersbag, my friend. Use 511 miricale penetrating sealer b4 grouting, or you will have a nightmare to clean it off. Yes, you can still use grout. You just need to use the appropriate grout for that type of application. Mapei FA will definitely hold up to the larger joints. Usually a veneer stone gets installed outdoors with an adhesive & joint combo that's colored, then brushed & tooled down. Using the thinset only gives you 2 colors(Gray or white) to choose from & is going to be a nightmare to clean off the face of the stone. I'm a big fan of this type of material used indoors. Our company did a 25ft High 360° Fireplace with 3 individual 360° mantles spaced equally. We installed a veneer stackstone manufactured by Coronado. This project was for Phil Ruffin the Owner of Treasure Island. It took 3 month's to complete. Email me if you would like to see pics. Great job guy's. Super respect your journey! Take care!

Wild wild west! No permits required for moving & adding electrical inside the home? WOW! How about an issue that arises in the future from the electrical additions or other changes & a claim is made on the homeowners' insurances? Most likely, it will be denied based on installer error. It's good that your main forte is electrical. My neck of the woods you need permits whenever you open walls & relocate plumbing, electrical, wall additions etc.
