Baker here🙋🏻‍♀️ A macaron is a sandwich-like cookie that's filled with jam, ganache, or buttercream.(this is the more commonly known french dessert that comes in a variety of different colours) A macaroon is a drop cookie made using shredded coconut (which is what you guys tried) hope i explained the difference between the two well enough!

Seed cafe is a bad recommendation mate! There are well good places than that. Should have visited Green cabin they have got a nice caramel tart, eclairs and a pineapple gateau and then some
