Remeber my nan saying for years, remember when i’m gone I always want a grave full of flowers. She passed March 2023 and since the day we buried her she’s always had a grave full of flowers. Definitely a comforting feeling. Gail would be so proud of how far you’ve come in the last year x

Carding refers to the special brushs made of metal spikes which got rid of knots out of the fleece then rolled it before being spun into yarn for weaving into cloth. Last of the Summer Wine was my Dad’s favourite comedy, he passed away 11 years ago but I can still remember him laughing at when I was a teenager 😊

My Mom & Dad were laid to rest in a cemetary in IL. I live in AZ. It’s been 9 & 8 years, respectively, & I could count on one hand how many times I visited their gravesite😢😢It is good for your heart & soul, Nick, to visit your Mum. The tears might not ever go away, but that’s ok.

I agree it is nice to have somewhere to go to visit love ones who have passed. My Nan and granddad were scattered on their favourite roses and at their house. House was sold, so I can never visit them

I agree it's lovely having somewhere to go and lay flowers. I find visiting my dad's grave comforting x My dad passed two years ago and was cremated. We buried his ashes and got him a headstone. Although that was a drama, after waiting 9 months, it was finally on his grave, only when we got there, they'd made a massive error and put the headstone on the wrong plot. We were devastated. Hi I totally get Nick, we cremated my mum and still had a head stone with her ashes in so we could visit her, it makes you feel so much better ❤ the pancakes looked amazing ❤

This sounds a bit weird I know but we scattered my dad’s ashes on the banks of the river he used to fish in near his home . Now when we go to visit as we drive over the bridge we all shout out hello dad , papa, John xx

That was a 'slick' racing tyre Nick. Like they use in F1 races in dry weather. The more rubber on the track = more grip and speed.

Interestingly enough my husband and I decided years ago we’d want to be cremated, but it wasn’t until my Mum died and then my Dad, who both wanted to be cremated that we’ve changed our wills to be buried. Mainly so that my children will have somewhere to go and sit and sort of be with me 😢 But it wasn’t until they died did it really hit me x x x

Beside us when someone got cremated the only options you had were either get the remains and keep them in an Urn or scatter the ashes in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium. Then the council added a section at the local cemetery for ashes to be buried and a headstone erected. 20 years ago my dad was one of the first to go there now the area has been extended because it is such a popular choice.

Absolutely love holmfirth and last of the summer wine, went to stay there in a caravan park years ago around a lake which if I remember correctly they’d used for filming an episode where they go sailing on an ironing board which funnily enough I fell in on the last day 😂. Done the bus tour too, brilliant brilliant place.

My parents ashes are both at my house, when my mum passed and she was at my dads he put her Mickey ears on the box and we always joked with him would do the same on his when he passed. Sadly he passed a couple of years ago and now they are both side by side with Mickey ears on!
