I've gone to Mexico four times in my life, and every time I ended up having awful stomach cramps when I came home. I think everybody is bound to have a different experience. It is entirely possible to go to Mexico and stay completely healthy throughout the trip and vice versa.

Here in Mexico there is Mexican pizza but it’s not from Pizza Hut. It’s kinda like a huge tostada with oaxaqueno cheese, beans, avocados, and meat. Look it up. We eat it here on special occasions. I was born in Mexico and currently live there. Sorry for any bad Englis. It’s called oaxaqueno style pizza or tlayudas

Me and my family went to Mexico we stayed away from all the water thinking we wouldn't get sick that way. It worked for the most part until we had drinks with ice in it, the ice melted we drank it we got sick. :-(

Guys it's not the street food. I just recently went to Mexico for the first time in over 20 years and I ate all types of street food wasn't even in Mexico City. I avoided drinking water unless it was bottled water and I was ok!

I've found that a lot of Latin American countries put ketchup (and even mayo sometimes) on pizza bc they use such little tomato sauce, to compensate. Also, you get some really cheap terrible pizzarias that taste worse than the worst frozen pizza and ketchup helps make it edible. To each their own, but ketchup on pizza is just weird.

As a peruvian, in peru, its mostly UNCOMMON, peruvians just really love pizza and wanted to make a BUNCH of combinations of sauces they like to put on a pizza, like "aji panca", "juancaiyina", "salsa ceviche", etc. but ketchup is a mostly no go type of sauce because we have a variety of sauces of what we can put on that is just NOT ketchup!! Also, Peru is one of the countries in Latin America itself that has over hundreds of thousands of dishes that is so cultural to our people that it makes more sufficient and delicious than Mexican food has to offer, which is something I believe is why we NEVER put ketchup on pizzas here in Peru 🇵🇪!!
