Just want to say that gen 8 is better because you get a stylus that charges inside the laptop. Not true with the gen 9. Gen 8 has sim slot too and you can add esim. You can pick up the gen 8 now at a reduced price. Thinkpads have the best keyboards.

My brother got Lenovo thinkpad from IBM as work laptop (it was with very good specification). Within 1y it got slowed down like tortoise, not only him but for their whole team. Later he got replacement with Macbook. Lenovo is garbage no matter what they made. They will show their color after 1year, dont fall for any glorified ad. If you are so called business professional go for Mac. If you are windows lover, go for Asus or HP (not the basic models) or MSI.

Why to get into physical or esim when you can use a laptop anywhere using your phone's hotspot. Many of us have been using it for many years now. I think the sim functionality in a laptop is a useless feature.

It’s not. There are several reasons you might not want to. I use my laptop for different reasons and phone for different reasons. And there are times i want to put my phone away or offline. Also, I don’t want my phone’s battery to drain out fast by using it as a hotspot. From a business standpoint, many businesses do not allow someone to carry a phone for security reasons. Having a sim connectivity in addition to wireless connectivity is a boon.
